Potential new user - laptop specs ?
« on: August 28, 2008, 06:35:45 PM »
Hi All,

I am 99% certain to purchase ANRB in coming weeks, but before that I am purchasing a new laptop.

I am a bit of a novice when it comes to computers, so I was wondering what spec would be best to support the ANRB.  ie,  processor ,   RAM,  GB , etc.

I will have about 30GB of itunes music on the laptop also, hope that wont affect performance.

Many thanks for help.

Cheers

Phil

Welcome to the forum, its a helpful place !!!

I just bought a laptop for similar reasons, mine has duo core processor 1.73 GHz & 2GB ram, the one main thing i looked for was battery life, some laptops have good specs but the batteries are rubbish.

Good processor  ie dual 1.7 + 2GB of ram and good battery should see you right.

Any CPU made in the last year or 2 so should be perfectly fine. 256MB RAM is plenty for RB but in case you have Vista you will need more and hard dis space is about 100MB.

Your music won't have any affect :)
