airports on radar screen

Can airports no longer in use be deleted from database for example Woodford aerodrome is no longer an airport but a new housing estate called Woodford Garden Village.
If not can it be updated to exclude Woodford.

Airports are hard coded into the software so cannot be deleted without re-writting the coding.  They have been deleted from the database but I cannot do anything further.  Its the same with new airports they cannot be added without re-writing the coding
