XRange box not staying up.
« on: July 31, 2020, 11:27:15 AM »
Hello all,
Within the last week or so, I have noticed that my station was not sending data to the website. The ethernet lights were flashing and the white signal activity light was blinking leading me to think all was well.  I received an email that my unit had been offline for some time and they suggested that i unplug and re-plug my unit back up.

It took me 6 hours and by a stroke of luck that the unit finally initialized and stayed up.

However, it went offline again.. I have tried resetting and changing USB and Ethernet cables to no avail. The system just won't initialize.

This is been going on since day one since i first received the unit...

I suggest that you contact [email protected] as they are the only ones who can assist.  Provide them with the unit serial number and ask them to investigate and they should be able either to fix or replace the unit

To clarify this case has now been passed to our technical team who will try and remotely login to the box.

You have however been responded to, more than once (debug link was given, and you were asked to try different cables) . We are working through with you and have not just asked to restart it.

UPDATE:

Was able to find a replacement USB cable and replacement Ethernet cable. The system now is up and appears to be running but still no A/C showing on the webpage. I was able to finally log into the unit. It is getting ADS-B replies...

The serial number of the unit is marked as (null)...Possibly the reason no reports being seen on the main web site.

Its up and running...

The only way i can log onto the box is via IP address that is local to my LAN..

If i try http://anrb400515/  i can't get to it... As stated, the serial number in the status screen shows null....

Try PGANRB400515, I am unaware however how you reach the status page but what you are experiencing would I believe stop you accessing the status page

I note you have been offline 5 days https://www.radarbox.com/stations/PGANRB400515
