Title: Problem with retrieve flight info - FIXED
Post by: 3baid on March 02, 2016, 04:42:29 PM
Hello guys..

yesterday i installed the v6 over the v5 just wanted to know whats new..
and then removed it and re installed the v5 again to get back to the normal version i was using.

and i faced a strange problem!

every time i start the application it shows the aircraft that my RB is getting msgs from but most of the aircraft missing information like REG/Air Craft Type/ airline logo / silhouette / route

unless i MANUALLY Hover my mouse over the Aircraft on the map or MANUALLY Select the aircraft from the interface it gets the full info

please check attachment

** Same thing with new Aircraft Shows on RADAR it wont get info unless i manually select
if i go back to V6 this problem disappear and everything goes to normal but i don't want the v6

i tried uninstalling the app
re installed it in a different location no luck :(

what could cause the problem?

It seems, that your navdata database got corrupted. You can try the following:

File-->Database Explorer --> Database Updates --> select: Update All records. --> start update.

Before you do this please check if you have accidentally installed ANRB Software to program files folder structure.

If yes, you have to uninstall and remove all traves of every instance of ANRB software on your and then re-install ANRB software to a folder like C:\RadarBox. Logo, Silhouette folder etc. can be resqued by copy them to another folder.

When you install a new version you install the basic database from years ago.  A Navdata update to fill the database with the up to date data again should do the trick.

Before you upgrade you should save you Mylog.db3 file and any folders specific to you such as photos, logos, silhouettes, outlines etc as again when you install a version update you get the basic data from years ago.  Once installed you can replace the old stuff with the newer versions you have saved.

Clicking on the aircraft like you did, auto-populates the info from the server.

Once again the only difference with V6 over V5 is that it allows USB sticks and the comstation to work with the software.  Unless you have this need going to V6 does no difference.

In addition to Alan.

If you once have purchased 3D option:

3D is not available with V6.
