Title: Exchanged flight codes
Post by: CarlosAbreu on May 07, 2015, 11:18:09 AM
Hi List

I'm with a problema that I can't fix.

There are flight codes in my database that are correct but when I pick up the flight they exchange

For example AFR521L is LPPT-LFPG but it appear as LFPG-LPPT in the interface !!!

I have some flights in this situation, any idea for what's happening ?

No idea why that might be Carlos, AFR521L shows on the server and on the Navdata as LPPT-LFPG.  Can you advise if that is on myflights and/or the network.

Hi Alan

All flights I pick up here in Portugal that arenĀ“t identified on the server I introduce them manually in my database so I can't understand how they became changed (?) !!!

No idea either Carlos, the one you mentioned is in the d/b and on the server correctly.  I will advise Airnav anyway and see if they can come up with anything.

Ok

Thanks Alan, as far as I remember it happens with other flights from TAP, DLH, BEL, etc...

In some cases I  deleted the entries and introduce again but without any positive result.

Carlos,

Just a thought, but when you have manually changed or entered details in your database, are you remembering to enter 'N' in the auto update column other wise when you update the database it will override anything you have entered with what is on the server.

Carlos,

If you have made a manual update you should place an N in auto-update in the route record and when you update you should use, Do not update manually changed records as your sync option.

Where I can find the auto-update to put the "N" ?

Since I use Radarbox I have manually updated hundreds of data flight and aircraft records and this is the first time I have this kind of problem !!!

Carlos,

Assuming you are using V5.00.72. File/Database Explorer/Tables/Routes you should have a column marked auto update, Y is the default, if you don't want it to be updated replace Y with N.

If you don't use V5 this will not apply.

Alan

I'm still using V4.03, so I can't do it !!!

I remember I didn't update because I was going to miss hundreds of data manually inserted.

But due to this kind of problems probably I will do it.

There's any chance to maintain data in the upgrade to V5.00.72 ?

I've been looking to ANRB interface for a couple of hours and it seems flights are all correct, probably the problem has disapeared (I hope so...).

Have a nice weekend.

Pleased to have been able to help Carlos.  Most routes are in the database available to download daily through Database Explorer and I am pleased to accept notification of any missing or needing amended noted by users.

Any further issue don't hesitate to ask.

Hi List

Everything is fine after update to V5.0 but I have a question:

I manually inserted SL (Sharklets) or WL (winglets) in the Aircraft/AN description field however when I start ANRB in the following day, for the same aircraft picked up in some cases the update is ok and for others no (?)

Any explanation for this ? They already have 2 photos, no auto update is made so why fields loose the SL or WL insert data ?

Two thing Carlos.

1 Have you got N in Auto-updates
2 In File/Preferences/Radarbox/Photo and Aircraft Auto Populate have you unticked Auto Update Manually Changed Records

Also when you carry out a database update, ensure you use the Do not update manually changed records option.
