Title: Windows 8.1 Drivers
Post by: Ian E Scott on February 21, 2015, 02:46:00 PM
I am having difficult getting the Windows 8.1 Drivers.

This is after the Tech Team sending me instructions which I have followed.

Has anyone else experienced problems with Windows 8.1 and if so do you have a solution please?

Thank You,

Ian

Ian,

The drivers are here http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/anrb/drivers/ANRB-Win8Drivers-v2.08.30.zip  They come in a zipped package so you will need to unzip them ato somewhere you can remember on your computer then when the installation process requires them, direct it to where you have unzipped them to.

See the sticky at the top of the page regarding Windows 8.  Can you advise what problem you are having and how far along the process before you fail

Hi,

I had problems but then it worked okay.

Look through the history about win 8 drivers and I put an easy guide in on how I completed it .

All goes well until it comes to point 9 for Windows 8.1.

There is no box to type the number, incidentally which number is this please?

Any further help would be extremely helpful.

Kind Regards,

Ian

Hi, Below is a copy of my posting :

Done again and all working, just for anyone else struggling I did the following.
1)Downloaded latest ANRB software.(ANRB not plugged in).
2)In drivers folder deleted all old drivers.(ANRB plugged in now).
3)Downloaded new win 8 drivers zip to desktop, downloaded zip folder in to C:Airnav/Drivers folder.
4)Did 1-9 as per memo.
5)PC then reboots then go to settings/devices, go to Airnav, right click to update drivers and point it to above driver folder.
6)It searched added the new drivers and all is now working.
A big thanks to Alan and everyones help, now up and running.
Mike.

Sorry Ian, I don't have Windows 8 so I don't know anything about the start up but it doesnt state anything about a box.

9. When Win8 restarts type the number next to \"Disable driver signature enforcement\"  Where this is done I am unable to state.

Either wait until someone with Windows 8 answers, Mike may be able to assist with it, or I would suggest contacting support again with this query.

Thanks Mike.Utd and Runway 31,

I'll try that.

My disk was purchased in 2011.  Is there an ANRB Update link if I am required to do that?

Many Thanks,

Ian

Hi

I had the same problem some months ago, not knowing which number to type.

My recollection is that against 'Disable driver signature enforcement' is an 'F' number.

I think mine was 'F9'.

Just tap the 'F' button from the top row of your keyboard.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Keith (Judwin45),

I've done that and am still having problems.

I have just removed everything for ANRB off my laptop and am about to start again!

Question:  Do I download my original disk before commencing with system and driver updates?

Do I keep ANRB plugged in during the updates?

As always any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Ian

Ian,

Just install the update and the driver update, no need for original disc.

I would leave the USB unplugged and only plug it in after the software is installed

Hi Alan,

Not yet and I'm at a loss to work it out.

I've removed everything from the Windows 8.1 PC.

I did go back to the Tech Team, but obviously as they haven't replied to me they cannot work it out either.

Thanks for thinking of me, it really is appreciated

I will give support a wee dig to get back to you but I would drop them another email in case they didn't get it.
