Title: ACARS detail please ..
Post by: daelight on April 05, 2008, 08:03:40 AM
Hi all,

I am evaluating to buy RadarBox or no .. it's quite pricey but one thing that would help is regards ACARS. My thinking is that ACARs is VHF only and spread across multiple freqs (131.525, 131.725 , 131.825 being most popular)  so how does radarbox 'tune' into these freqs at same time as SBS mode? Does anyone have personal experience using the product's ACARs abilities?

In the past I have used ACARs alot and always been frustrated that I could only use one channel at a time. Does radarbox overcome this?

Thanks

RadarBox does not decode ACARS transmissions and no where is this written in the any adverts.

What it does do is provide a interface for our separate ACARS software (AirNav ACARS Decoder). The interface allows you too see which aircraft on RadarBox are also being picked up in ACASR Decoder as well a provding a ACARS feed in the RadarBox software.
