-
Good work :-), thanks.
-
how many aircraft should there be in the database now as i am showing 168113
thanks
Nick
-
I belive it should be around 188,000. Looks like you are still looking at an older Navdata.
Look to where you are installing too.
Alan
-
Thanks for that Alan now have 188030
I appear to have a virtual store where my downloads prefer to go to so have deleted that and
now all is ok
thanks
Nick
-
For me being older etc etc!!!. Where do you see the figure 188030 please? If I select the aircraft list in Database explorer I see a figure off 81134. I've proably done something wrong or looking in the wrong place? Any help welcomed.
John
-
John,
The figure mentioned can be found as follows;
File/Database Explorer/Aircraft bottom left of the box it will show ******* rows loaded in **m/s
If you dont have 188,*** you are not using the latest Navdata
Alan
-
Hi Alan thanks that is where I am seeing the figure 81134. I have tried to downoad the file from the site here but obviously did some thing wrong. Thanks for the reply.
-
You need to direct it to Airnav systems/Radarbox wherever you have it installed the box software too.
Alan
-
Arrrggggghhhh! I can't get this right. Off to see the match.
-
Give me shout later John and will talk you through it
Alan
-
Hi Alan I downloaded the file and did a save as entering it into where I believe the correct Airnav folder in my C Drive? I stil have 80*** odd aircraft/ Any help appreciated.
John
-
maybe this helps ; when i excecute the exe file of the update, it points me out to something like
c:\airnav Systems\airnav radarbox\data
delete the "data" part in this path, and it extract to the right place
-
btw, if you used the standard extraction form, you should have a "data" folder in the actual RB "data" folder, containing the newest DB3 file
-
Once you have saved the filre, you still have to go through the installation process to extract the data.
Use windows search to look for all occurances of Navdata db.3 to see where they all are. You obviously have more than one Airnav version and it is going to the wrong one for the data.
If you installed the origional disk and then installed the 4.03 or 3.13 versions you will have two versions in different places. Yoy require to find the path to the version you use and only go as far as Airnav Systems Radarbox, dont go as far as data as the innstaller puts it in the data folder. If you find the correct and wrong Navdata you could always moves the new one over and replace the older version with the new one.
What version of windows do you use.

Hi,
I have installed the new Navdata db as per the link in the first post by Orkney.
I now have a number of flights (inc EZY & RYR) showing route KLAX-ELXX!
Is there any good reason why this is happening please?
Thanks,
Dave
-
Can you give some examples of these to allow me to search please. I have had a look in my d/b explorer Routes and there is no ELXX to be seen.
Alan
-
Please see the attached file, the offenders are highlighted!
-
DCA
ELLX, you stated ELXX in your original message.
I have had a look at those highlighted and none of them are in my database. To have the routes displayed you must have them in your database explorer. Have a search for these using your database explorer searching the FN field which is the flight number, the flight number and to and from point must be in the routes d/b to display
I had MAC2105 earlier and it was not displaying a route and have noted it in a spreadsheet for updating later.
As the winter season started yesterday most of my EZY flight are not showing routes.
I can only think you have a corruption of some sort and would suggest you re-install the update. Is anyone else exhibiting this problem?
Alan
-
Thank you for all efforts. Once you get the path correct, thank you Alan, any update is very straight forward

Hi Luis,
Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. I sent an e-mail to systems support yesterday and they have forwarded it on to the technical department.
I've not heard anything as of yet.

Simon.

John
Just to add when I click File, database explorer and select aircraft I have 81555 shown.
-
John,
As the Navdata link is working again I am not doing an update today.
Before being able to assist I need to know where you have installed Radarbox on your computer, can you advise.
If you installed off the disk and then upgraded t oa later version you will have at least two NavData.db3 files on your computer. Can you use windows search to find them and advise where they are.
Alan
Use windows search to look where it is
-
Hi Alan
Thanks I'll check this out but it mght be tomorrow before I can advse you. I have a carers meeting tonight as since my wife's passing I have sole responsibility for my Daughter who is disabled.
I'll check windows search and see where Radarbox is on the PC. I very much appreciate your assistance.
Regards
John

Hi Alan
I found this?
"C:\Program Files (x86)\AirNav Systems\AirNav RadarBox 2009\AirNav RadarBox\ANRB.exe"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\AirNav Systems\AirNav RadarBox\ANRB.exe"
The desktop Icon I click to start the box properities shows this as it's link. "C:\Program Files (x86)\AirNav Systems\AirNav RadarBox\ANRB.exe"
Does this help or hinder?
-
John,
That being the case you should download and install the update to C:\Program Files (x86)\AirNav Systems\AirNav RadarBox\
Please note as you have used the default program files location you may have some problems. If its been working OK until now, keep you should be OK, fingers crossed
Alan
-
Hi Alan
Thats what I believe I was doing and just tried without success.
I'm off out now so I'll check back later or tomorrow.
Thanks anyway for your help.
