This is a new thread to replace the previous one, which was getting pretty huge.
Here's a link to the old Outlines thread in case it's useful: http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=5405.0

Texan replacement:
Dallas Love Field- KDAL
The Frontiers of Flight Museum is on the eastern edge.
Rod

Another zip.
The last zip was in post #676 on the 14th March, -in the previous Outlines thread, and this zip contains all the outlines posted since then.
The All Outlines zip is on my downloads page here http://rodb.gofreeserve.com/RadarBox/Downloads.htm (http://rodb.gofreeserve.com/RadarBox/Downloads.htm) It has all the latest versions of the outlines posted on the forum and includes the outlines in the zip in this post.
Rod

New outline - we sometimes get returns from here in Darfur, Sudan:
Al Fasher (or El Fashir) - HSFS
Rod
-
Another new outline, this time for Texas again:
Dallas Executive - KRBD (ex Redbird Airport)
Rod
-
A new outline for a little Phoenix, Arizona area GA airport:
Buckeye Municipal - KBXK
New home of the Lauridsen Collection of apparently mainly flyable mainly military aircraft.
Rod
-
3 for France, Champagne region ;
Vatry international, Ryanair started operations there and cals it "Paris-Disneyland"
and 2 small grasfields nearby, Epernay-Plivot and Ecury-sur-Coole
-
North Island, New Zealand:
Gisborne - NZGS
Unusual as it has a railway line crossing the main runway and a utility aircraft as its gate guard.
Oops - sorry folks, I posted the wrong version - now corrected.
Rod
-
Spanish replacement:
Vigo-Peinador - LEVX
Rod

Rod
Another one for the too doo list which appears to be growing by the day. The Swiss AF now have an ADS-B Super Puma AS32. It was noted operating on LSMD Dubendorf.
-
Thanks, ACW - I'm on its case!
Rod
-
And here it is:
Dubendorf Air Base - LSMD
Home of Ju-Air and the Flieger Flab Museum
Rod

Getting ground returns at LPMA Madeira tonight
-
Hi ACW - we already have a decent outline for Madeira - here it is again (slightly updated) in case you missed it.
And also, here's a replacement outline for yet another Phoenix-area (Arizona) GA airport - Scottsdale - KSDL.
As I was doing this outline, I first thought is was a simple little one - then I noticed that the taxiways led in many directions into a huge industrial airpark, so I did the lot - and it turned into a much bigger project that I expected.
Rod
-
Replacement Canadian:
Vancouver International - CYVR including the seaplane and hovercraft bases.
Rod
-
Now another Ukrainian airport
Lviv - UKLL
Lots of contruction work going on in the GE image, so the new big terminal and ramp are a bit of a guess, as is the new south-eastern runway extension. The runway markings show the runway shortened during the extension works.
Rod
-
UAE replacement:
Abu Dhabi - OMAA
Rod
-
And another:
Sharjah International - OMSJ
Rod
-
The Azores:
Ponta Delgada João Paulo II - LPPD
This is meant to be a replacement, but I notice that the old outline was spelled wrong - so those of you who are replacing the previous outline will need to delete it manually.
Rod
-
An airstrip of local Lancashire interest:
Black Knights Parachute Centre - Cockerham
The world's oldest Pilatus Turbo-Porter F-GODZ regularly operates from here.
Rod
-
US replacement:
Joint Base Andrews (Camp Springs, Andrews AFB) - KADW
Rod
-
Busy little New Zealand GA airport - I've seen the Auckland R44 round there recently:
North Shore (Dairy Flat) - NZNE
Rod
-
We should be getting a new RadarBox around here in Russia soon:
Ivanovo Yuzhne - UUBI and
Ivanovo Severny - XUDI
UUBI is a small civil airport, and XUDI is a big military transport base with lots of Beriev A-50s present in the GE image. It's the home of the Museum of Military Transport Aviation.
RadarBox doesn't know about either of them. They are north-east of Moscow - go to UUDL and head south-east.
Rod
-
Replacement:
Willow Run - KYIP (in Ypsilanti, Michigan)
The huge building in the northwest is the Ford B-24 plant, now unused.
The Yankee Air Museum is in the northeast corner. They organise the Thunder over Michigan airshow here.
RadarBox shows the southern runway, but that is now only a taxiway.
Rod
-
Another Michigan replacement:
Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County - KDTW
Rod
-
A new Michigan outline:
MBS International - KMBS (Midland, Bay City, and Saginaw - it used to be called Freeland Tri-City Airport)
Rod
-
Another Michigan replacement:
Kalamazoo Battle Creek International - KAZO
The Air Zoo Museum is in the two southern-most buildings.
Rod
-
A new Michigan outline:
WK Kellogg Regional - KBTL (on the other side of Battle Creek from Kalamazoo)
Home of Waco and of the Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival
Rod
-
Another Azores replacement outline, plus its island which is absent from the RadarBox map.
Santa Maria - LPAZ
Santa Maria Island
Rod
-
New British Columbian:
Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Comox - CYQQ including Comox Valley Airport - the terminal is the southern-most building.
Home to the Comox Air Force Museum to the west.
Rod
-
Texan replacement:
Austin-Bergstrom International - KAUS
Rod
-
Croatian replacement:
Zagreb Pleso - LDZA
Rod
-
New Slovenia outline:
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik - LJLJ
Rod
-
A German replacement:
Speyer - EDRY
Everything north of the runway is the amazing Technik Museum.
I find it interesting that the main hangar in the museum was originally built at Lille in 1913, and moved to Speyer by German troops during WW1 and used as an aircraft factory by Pfalz who built 2,500 planes there.
Rod
-
Our Caspian Sea RadarBox is based at Aktau, Kazakhstan. Here's the outline:
Aktau - UATE
There's a shiny new terminal, I think to the east of the control tower, but the GE image is from 2005, so we'll have to wait for it.
Rod
-
I've pinned down our new Black Sea box to the Russian port of Gelendzhik. There's a completely rebuilt airport there - new runway, ramps, tower and everything, but the GE image doesn't show it at all. It does however show the adjacent seaplane base where the wonderful seaplane shows are held (great pics on Airliners.net), so I've done that to a reasonable standard.
The new airport outline is a very crude attempt, but better than nothing.
Gelendzhik - URKG
RadarBox doesn't know about it - go to URKA and head down the coast.
Rod
-
A longer-established airport inland from URKG:
Krasnodar Pashkovsky International - URKK
Rod
-
Portuguese new/replacement outline:
Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro - LPPR
We did have a previous outline named Oporto (done by another RB user, but since removed from the forum). Some people may have that - if so it will need to be deleted manually.
Rod
-
Another of the new RadarBoxes giving returns down to short finals here in Kazakhstan today:
Astana International - UACC
Rod
-
Almost due south of Astana, my first Pakistani airport:
Islamabad Benazir Bhutto International and Pakistan Air Force Base Chaklala - OPRN
Rod
-
Malaysian replacement:
Kuala Lumpur International - WMKK
Rod
-
For no particular reason, a new outline for an Indiana ga airfield and ANG base:
Terre Haute International / Hulman Field - KHUF
Rod
-
The site of another new Russian RadarBox:
Tyumen Roshchino International - USTR
Rod
-
Another zip.
The last zip was in post #3 on the 7th April, and this zip contains all the outlines posted since then.

We have a new RadarBox around Stavropol in Russia, and the user there, Petr Pletnyakov, has used great ingenuity and hard work to produce a proper outline of URKG, using a much more up to date image (from maps.yandex.ru) than Google Earth has.
So here is a replacement of the outline, with his new airport outline along with the seaplane base and coastline from my earlier attempt.
Gelendzhik - URKG
Rod
-
New Russian outline - we're getting ground returns from here:
International Airport Irkutsk - UIII
Rod
-
i'm more looking at sunnier places ; an outline for Rimini, might be of use next summer holyday
-
Another new Russian airport outline:
Rostov-on-Don - URRR
Vonsmalhausen and I have agreed that now that we are showing hold/stop lines in our outlines, they should be a different colour, so from this outline on, they will be in the "Other" colour as in the bottom-right box in the File...Preferences...Map Colours dialogue box.
So you can change that to control the colour of the hold/stop lines which are in real life almost always yellow.
Rod
-
staying in northern Italy for a while ; update/replacement for Genoa-LIMJ
-
New Tennessee outline for this ga airport and ANG base:
Smyrna - KMQY
Rod
-
South Carolina replacement:
Charleston International and Joint Base Charleston - KCHS
The Transport Aircraft Museum is in the military area to the west, and the new Boeing 787 plant is the complex to the southeast of the airport.
Rod
-
another north Italian replacement, Bologna
-
New Indian outline:
Delhi Indira Gandhi International - VIDP
Including Indian Air Force Base Palam and the Indian AF Museum on the north side.
Rod

Rod
Another request. Just watched Government Airbus 9M-NAA take off from WMSA Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang, Kuala Lumpur).
-
Nice one - thanks ACW.
I'lll do it soon :-)
Rod
-
getting more and more Swiss PC-21's on the network; could follow a trio of them between Emmen, Payerne and Sion.
so why not produce a outline for them :)
here's the first one, Emmen
-
ACW's Malaysian request:
Subang Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah also known as Skypark - WMSA
Rod
-
With excellent ground returns coming from here, I thought I'd do an update of buildings and markings:
Dubai International - OMDB
Rod
-
We seem to have a new box on the south shore of the Black Sea. I've never seen anything low down here, but this little Turkish airport seems to be close to center of the reception area. Apparently it has a daily THY flight from Istanbul.
Sinop - LTCM
Rod
-
new outline for Payerne
-
With good ground returns from here (until today), here's a replacement:
Beijing Capital International - ZBAA
Ros
-
Russian replacement: I'd previously done the outline for these two airports as just one, for UNKL, but despite being very close together, they are two separate airports, so UNKL is a replacement, and UNKM is new.
Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo International - UNKL
Krasnoyarsk Cheremshanka - UNKM
The GE image shows UNKM before the fire in December 2011 that destroyed the terminal and tower. RadarBox doesn't know about the smaller domestic airport, but it's very close to UNKL. I would have thought it is quite confusing - both airports have a single runway named 11/29.
Rod
-
new one for Swiss, Sion_LSGS
i will be quit with new outlines for a while now, as i have urgent other work to do/catch-up, but i'll continiue my Swiss tour as soon as that is done :-)
-
My last O'Hare outline was done while there was major construction work to the south. The latest GE image shows most of that now completed, so I've revised and updated it:
Chicago O'Hare International - KORD
Rod
-
A replacement for this Illinois ga airport, with possibly the most splendid ga terminal on the planet.
DuPage - KDPA - sometimes referred to as Chicago West (didn't realise Ryanair flew there ;-)
Rod
-
Yet another zip.
The last zip was in post #44 on the 3rd May, and this zip contains all the outlines posted since then.
It's got 1,158 outlines. I've got them all (and many more) on my pretty average computer and they don't seem to slow it down at all, so you needn't worry about them overloading your computer :-)
Rod
-
Here's an outline for a British airfield that's in the news today - something to do with flaming sport:
Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose - EGDR, known as HMS Seahawk
Rod
-
Another new Russian RadarBox has arrived - saw ground returns from here for the first time yesterday:
Chelyabinsk - USCC also known as Balandino
Rod
-
Near USCC is this airfield which used to be Chelyabinsk's civil airport, but is now mainly used by a military navigator training school, with dozens of Tu-134s.
Chelyabinsk Shagol - USCG, also known as Bakal
RadarBox doesn't know about it - it's just southwest of USCC.
Rod
-
Another new Brazilian RadarBox location with ground returns:
Campo Grande International - SBCG
Civil terminal to the north, air force base to the south.
Rod
-
An update, mainly for markings, to this:
Denver International - KDEN
Rod
-
Another couple of updates with more markings and details:
RAF Cosford - EGWC home to a branch of the RAF Museum
Trieste Friuli Venezia Giulia - LIPQ AKA Ronchi dei Legionari and more recently Pietro Savorgnan di Brazzà
Rod
-
Two revised outlines with extra detail and markings:
Munich - EDDM (Germany
Budapest Ferenc Liszt International (Ferihegy) - LHBP (Hungary)
and a completely re-done replacement:
Bratislava M. R. Štefánik (Ivanka) - LZIB (Slovakia}
Rod
-
Another revision - lots of added markings and detail to this Arizona GA field:
Prescott Municipal Airport, Ernest A. Love Field - KPRC
Rod
-
A new Australian:
RAAF Base Williamtown and Newcastle Airport - YWLM
Military to the north, civil to the south, and the Fighter World Museum to the east.
Rod
-
A new Colorado mixed-use airfield:
Colorado Springs (City of Colorado Springs Municipal) and Peterson Air Force Base - KCOS
GA to the west, mil north and east, civil terminal in the centre. Home to the Peterson Air and Space Museum and The Airplane Restaurant.
Rod
-
I can't remember why this Aussie outback airfield was on my to-do list - I've never seen returns from round here, but there's a new GE image so here it is:
Tennant Creek - YTNK
Rod
-
I've been waiting for the extended runway at Macedonia to be completed, but I guess I might be waiting a long time, so with a new GE image showing little if any progress, I've done this replacement anyway:
Thessaloniki Macedonia International - LGTS
Civil to the north, mil to the south.
Rod
-
Another new Russian RadarBox is setting up in the far east:
Komsomolsk-on-Amur Dzemgi - UHKD
Air Force field with a big Sukhoi plant - home of the Superjet 100 and lots of Su-27s on the hardstandings, and several historic aircraft on display.
RadarBox doesn't know about it - nearest "known" airport is UHHH - head about 180 miles (270km) northeast.
Rod
-
Another imminent RadarBox, this time in Kazakhstan:
Kostanay Narimanovka - UAUU
The GE image is from 2006, and shows over 60 An-2s lined up neatly. I imagine they're still there.
Rod
-
Abu Dhabi replacement:
Al Bateen Executive - OMAD
Rod
-
another Swiss replacement ; Buochs
-
2 more replacements for Swiss ; Alpnach and Kagiswil
-
South of France:
Béziers Cap d'Agde (Vias) - LFMU
The Google Earth image is 6 years old, before the runway extension which was done in 2007.
Rod
-
4 new ones for Swiss
pitty most of the Swiss rwy lines on the RB map seems to be out of line
-
Finnish replacement:
Helsinki Vantaa - EFHK
The Finnish Aviation Museum is to the south.
Rod
-
For no particular reason, a new Oregon outline:
Salem Municipal, McNary Field - KSLE
A mixed-use field, with the Oregon Army National Guard base to the northeast, and Garmin's aviation navigation HQ building to the southeast (home of their GPS and ADS-B development).
Rod
-
And another new Oregon outline:
Tillamook - KTMK - known to RadarBox as S47
The old Naval Air Station blimp hangar is is the largest clear-span wooden structure in the world, and now home to the Tillamook Air Museum, many of the aircraft there being owned by Jack Erickson of Erickson Air Crane.
Rod
-
Another new Oregon outline:
Hood River Ken Jernstedt - 4S2
Interesting little ga airport because it is home to the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum (to the north) which has a large collection of 1930s single-engine types.
Radarbox knows about 4S2 but doesn't have the runway.
Rod
-
And another:
Hillsboro - KHIO
Busy GA airport. On the day the GE image was taken the Hillsboro International Air Show was on, and the aircraft of the Classic Aircraft Aviation Museum, whose hangar is the second one in the south-west corner, were out for an airing. Worth a look if you're interested.
Rod
-
Just for a change, here's a replacement outline for an airport that we are actually getting returns from at the moment:
Dakar Léopold Sédar Senghor International ex Yoff International - GOOY
Rod
-
Canadian replacement:
London International - CYXU (Ontario)
Home of Diamond Aircraft (factory to the south).
I mis-named the previous outline as KYXU so that will have to be deleted manually.
Rod
-
Our first Cape Verde airport:
Praia International, Nelson Mandela - GVNP
Radarbox has the runway, but doesn't know the ICAO code. It does know the code of the airport that GVNP has replaced, Francisco Mendes, GVFM, which is now a nice straight road just south of the new airport.
Cape Verde's main international airport, Amilcar Cabral, is on my to-do list, but I'm waiting for the Google Earth clouds to clear.
Rod
-
Yet another new Russian RadarBox user near here:
Chkalovsky - UUMU / Z25Y
Huge AF base near Moscow. RadarBox doesn't have the runways, nor does it know the ICAO code, but it can find it as Z25Y.
Rod
-
Carrying on with Oregon airports:
Eugene Mahlon Sweet Field - KEUG along with Mahlon Sweet Heliport - OG32
Home of the Oregon Air And Space Museum
Rod
-
Returns are coming again from here in southern Brazil, so time for a replacement:

New Californian outline
Hemet-Ryan - KHMT AKA Ryan Air Attack Base
Until 1998, this was the busiest firebomber base in the USA, but most of that activity then moved to what is now San Bernadino.
Rod
-
There's a superb new high-resolution image of Edwards AFB (KEDW) on Google Earth, so I've updated the outline with newly-revealed detail of the lakebed runways.
Rod
-
Two new US ga airport outlines:
Corona Municipal - KAJO (California)
Hartford Municipal - KHXF (Wisconsin)
Rod
-
Minnesota replacement:
Minneapolis-Saint Paul International - KMSP occasionally known as Wold-Chamberlain.
Minnesota ANG museum to the northeast.
Rod
-
I'm told we should be seeing a new Russian box in the Bering Strait area soon - it will be interesting to see what traffic it picks up round there. Here's the local airport:
Anadyr Ugolny - UHMA
Rod
-
Hi Rod
Any chance of updating Anadyr Ugolny - UHMA, its a text document.
Thanks
Bryan
-
Sorry about that - now corrected.
Actually, RadarBox doesn't care whether its a .out or a .txt - it shows it anyway, but it willl confuse humans if I get it wrong!
Rod
-
We're getting great ground returns from here on Hianan, China. BOM1's RadarBox will only be there for a few days, so enjoy now while you can:
Sanya Phoenix International - ZJSY
Rod

Another Californian ga field:

California ga field:

don't remember how the Brussels file is called in the original RB files, but just replace Brussels something_EBBR by this one
had to make it a ZIP file, as the size is 335kb, and max allowed is 300kb for attachements
-
Thanks, Vonsmalhausen - nice one :-)
A smaller contribution from me, a replacement for this New York state airport:
Buffalo Niagara International - KBUF
Rod

Trento G Caproni - LIDT known to RadarBox as Mattarello
Rod
-
Replacement outline for Brazil's 7th busiest airport:
Salvador-Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães International - SBSV, ex Dois de Julho International
which shares facilities with Salvador AFB to the north.
So far it's winning the contest for the airport with the longest official name, and possibly the hardest for non-Portuguese-speakers to pronounce.
Rod
-
Another north-Italian replacement:
Il Caravaggio Airport Bergamo Orio al Serio - LIME (Milan Bergamo if you're flying Ryanair)

Another zip.
The last zip was in post #128 on the 28th July, and this zip contains all the outlines posted since then.
Rod

Moving to Kentucky:
Elizabethtown Regional. Addington Field - KEKX
Bowling Green Warren County - KBWG
Bowman Field - KLOU - apparenty it was the US's busiest airfield during WW2, and is the oldest continually operating airfield in North America (compare with KVUO if you're interested)

More from the same area:
Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional, John F. Outlaw Field - KCKV (Tennessee)
Nashville John C Tune - KJWN (Tennessee)
Campbell Army Airfield - KHOP (Kentucky) Home of the Don F Pratt Memorial Museum
Sabre Army Heliport - KEOD (Tennessee)
RadarBox doesn't know about Sabre. Along with KHOP, it is part of Fort Campbell, about 6 miles (10km) south of KHOP. Between them, these two fields have, I reckon, well over 400 helicopter parking blocks marked out. I may get round to adding them to the outlines one day.
Rod
-
And more:
Hopkinsville-Christian County - KHVC (Kentucky)
Kentucky Dam State Park - M34 (Kentucky)
Paducah Barkley Regional - KPAH (Kentucky)
Metropolis Municipal - M30 (Illinois}

I've already been for a little lie down!
Those US outlines were done by request. I'll get back to the rest of the world now :-)
Rod
Rod you are as ever a superstar.

I will forever associate outlines of tiny airstrips in Kentucky with watching the London Olympics!
Great fun, and informative, too!
Rod
-
New Egyptian outline:
Alexandria Borg Al Arab - HEBA
While Alexandria International (HEAX) is being rebuilt, this is taking over its role. Flights were scheduled to return to HEAX next year, but we shall see...
Rod
-
Replacement Turk:
Dalaman - LTBS
The GE image is over-exposed, and I can hardly make out any runway markings :-(
Rod
-
Another replacement Turkish airport with non-visible markings:
Milas Bodrum - LTFE
Rod
-
North Dakota replacement. I did this last February, but since then a new Google Earth image has revealed the new terminal and hangar, so I've revised the outline.
Grand Forks International - KGFK
Rod
-
New Arizona outline:
Lake Havasu City - KHII
Rod
-
New French outline:
Cannes - Mandelieu - LFMD
Rod

Two replacements - Greece and Croatia:
Aktion National, also known as Preveza or Lefkada - LGPZ

A couple more, smaller, South Australians:
Ceduna - YCDU
Kangaroo Island Kingscote - YKSC
Rod
-
A new Oregon outline:
Rogue Valley International - Medford - KMFR
Rod
-
By special request, another Thailand replacement:
Bangkok Don Mueang International (often still spelled Don Muang) - VTBD
It reopened in March after closure due to the flooding last year. Google Earth has amazing images of the flooding in their historical images.
It's shared with the Royal Thai Air Force, whose base is on the east side, with their headquarters to the north and their superb museum just south of it.
EDIT - forgot to mention that the area between the runways is the Thai Air Force golf course!
Rod
-
Thanks Rod. You're amazing with the detail of the airport and insight around it. Actually my house was under 130cm flood similar to the airport last year.
BR
-
My pleasure :-)
Hope you and the museum aircraft have dried out now!
Rod
-
New York repacement:
LaGuardia - KLGA
Rod
-
New Texas ga field outline:
Fort Worth Spinks - KFWS
Rod
-
Texan ga airport relacement - the US's 5th busiest ga airport:
Addison - KADS
Home of the Cavanaugh Flight Museum
Rod
-
Replacement for the world's 6th busiest airport by movement, with its new 18R/36L runway:
Charlotte-Douglas International - KCLT
Home of the Carolinas Aviation Museum, where the "Miracle on the Hudson" A320 now resides.
Rod
-
Minnesota ga airport replacement:
Anoka County-Blaine Airport - KANE AKA Janes Field
Home of the wonderful Golden Wings Flying Museum. Also home of the American Wings Air Museum, which is having a tough time at the moment - the GE image shows some of their their planes, mainly Mohawks, on the grass to the south, having had to leave their hangar.
Rod
-
I've dione an update for CYYZ now that we're getting such good returns from there. It's based on the same Google Earth image as the previous version, but contains the extra detail that I'm putting into outlines these days.
Toronto Pearson International - CYYZ
Other local airport replacements to follow.
Rod
-
Here's the next - an update with added detail:
Billy Bishop Toronto City - CYTZ AKA Toronto Island
I've also done a minor revision to the islands outline to incorporate the ferry terminal.
Rod
-
Last Toronto area replacement outline:
Downsview - CYZD
Bombardier's plant is to the south, and the military base is to the north-east.
It's also home to the Canadian Air and Space Museum (ex Toronto Aerospace Museum) which is another museum having a hard time and looking for a new home for its collection, which includes a Lancaster under restoration and an impressive Avro Arrow replica.
Rod
-
Another small airport with ADS-B traffic
YNBR Narrabri Airport
-
Thanks for that, ACW - I've got two EVY CL60s around there at the moment - I'll add it to the to-do list.
Meanwhile, here's a New York state airport that I probably should have done before - we get low-level returns from here:
Albany International - KALB
Latham Army National Guard (ARNG) base is to the south-east.
Rod
-
Can go even smaller
Just watched a Maldavian Air Taxi DHC6 flying around VRMH Hanimaadhoo Airport
-
Added to the list - shouldn't take long!
Rod
-
Here are ACW's requests:
Narrabri - YNBR (New South Wales, Australia}
Hanimaadhoo - VRMH (Maldives}
and the island it's on, also called Hanimaadhoo

Another zip.
The last zip was in post #146 on the 13th August, and this zip contains all the outlines posted since then.
Rod

Back to New York state:
Schenectady County - KSCH
ANG Hercules base to the east, Empire State Aerosciences Museum in the north-west.
The museum has just received three extra aircraft from the Intrepid museum, including their Supermarine Scimitar, to make room for Space Shuttle Enterprise's arrival at the Intrepid.
Rod
-
Another:
Glens Falls Floyd Bennett Memorial - KGFL AKA Warren County
Rod

This little Fort Worth, Texas ga airport may hold the world record for the number of hangars on an airport:
Hicks Airfield - T67
The original airfield dates back to 1916
Rod
-
Arkansas ga airport:
North Little Rock Municipal - KORK known to RadarBox as 1M1
Rod
-
Two Aussie airports:
Gold Coast - YBCG AKA Coolangatta (replacement}
Coffs Harbour - YCFS but known to Radarbox under its previous identity as YSCH

Hi Rod
Having just got a new laptop I am looking to download all the outlines, logos, etc but the link to your website in message #183 doesn't seem to work - or is it just me?!
Cheers
Colin
-
Hi Colin
The links work OK for me. Are you at least getting to my downloads page? If you are, then make sure you follow the advice to Right-click the buttons and choose Save Target as... or Save Link as...
If you're not even getting to my downloads page, the go to www.rodbearden.net, or click the blue globe link underneath my name on the left here, then click the AirNav RadarBox link - you'll find a link to the downloads page at the bottom of that.
HTH
Rod

Hi Rod
I tried all methods and just get a message saying that the the site is not available or may not exist!
Not sure how I can be doing anything wrong but I will try again tomorrow
Thanks
Colin
-
Hmm...
Is anyone else having this problem?
Rod
-
Rod
Was able to navigate all the way though your site with no problems.
Col
You might want to check whether your virus protection has not put the site on a block list. About a year ago I had McAfee block Rod's site as a potentially risky connection. Went into McAfee and changed it to 'allow' and have never had it since.
-
That's a point, ACW.
I remember that we Gofreeserve users had similar problems some time ago: http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=5332.0
Rod

Rod
We are getting returns at the moment from VOMM Chennai Intl
-
Just caught an AXB flight there - I'll add it to the list, but I see there are major runway works going on there.
Thanks hawkeye!
Rod
-
Another Aussie airport:
Port Macquarie - YPMQ
Rod
-
Hmm...
Is anyone else having this problem?
Rod
i did had similar problem earlier this evening, but now it seems to be restored ; i'm able to reach "rodbearden.net" again
-
This is strange! I have AVG as my Anti-virus - I turned it off and tried to go to the site and I got the same message so it was not the AVG that was the problem.
I tried my desktop instead and that would not connect either so I wonder whether it is a problem with my ISP as it is a Virgin Media error page that is returned. I will try going through another ISP to see if that is the problem.
Thanks for the suggestions
Cheers
Colin
-
Just downloaded the outlines from Rods page without any problems
Alan
-
I have found the problem!
Virgin have a utility called Advanced Network Search which is meant to help if you are having problems finding the site that you want.
When I turn this service off then I can connect without issue!
Thanks
Colin
-
Glad you got it sorted :-)
Rod
-
Thanks Rod - and thanks for all your efforts in making all the logos and outlines available to us all
Cheers
Colin
-
It's a pleasure.
Here's another Aussie - this time military:
Nowra Naval Air Station - HMAS Albatross - YSNW
Home of the Fleet Air Arm Museum and the Royal Australian Navy Historic Flight
Rod
-
We're still getting retuns from round here:
Chennai International - VOMM (Madras)
Runway 12 is being extended over a river to the north-west, The outline shows the new extension, but the markings are for the prevous runway length.
Rod
-
We're getting occasional good ground returns from here, so here's a replacement:
Shanghai Pudong International - ZSPD
Rod
-
Irish replacement:
Cork - EICK
The GE image is six years old, and the new control tower has arrived since then, so I've approximated its position.
Rod
-
Another Shanghai replacement:
Shanghai Hongqiao - ZSSS
Radarbox only has one of the runways, and it's very out of alignment. The western side, with the new runway and terminal, hadn't yet opened when the Google Earth image was taken in 2010, so the runway and taxiway markings are incomplete.
Rod
-
New Polish outlines:
Rzeszów-Jasionka - EPRZ
A new terminal and ramp have been built, but only after the 2008 Google Earth image.
Next to the commercial airport is a little grass airfield:
Rzeszów - EPRJ
so I though I'd do that at the same time. This, too, is out of date as they've now built an asphalt runway and a new hangar.
Rod
-
Arizona replacement:
Grand Canyon West - no ICAO code, IATA GCW, known to RadarBox as 1G4
RadarBox's runway centreline may have been accurate once, and might be again, but it isn't at the moment.
Rod
-
Now a few for Hawaii islands:
Kahului - PHOG (code is for aviation pioneer Bertram J. Hogg)
Kona International Airport at Keāhole - PHKO
Rod
-
More Hawaii:
Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay - PHNG, apparently now called Marine Corps Base Hawaii
Molokai - PHMK
Lanai - PHNY
And a separate outline for the island of Lanai
Rod
-
Three more Hawaiians:
Dillingham - PHDH
Hilo International - PHTO
Kalaeloa - PHJR AKA John Rodgers Field and NAS Barbers Point. Now civil, but with Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point to the south. Also home to The Hawaii Museum of Flying, known as Naval Air Museum Barbers Point.
EDIT there was a little mistake in the Hilo outline - now corrected.
Rod
-
Three more Hawaiians:
Kapalua - PHJH
Waimea-Kohala - PHMU
Honolulu International - PHNL. The western area is Hickam AFB, part of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
That's all for Hawaii for now.
Rod
-
Northern Germany:
Rostock-Laage - ETNL
Rod

Two airports on Jeju Island, South Korea:
Jeju International (also spelled Cheju) - RKPC
Jeongseok - RKPD - KAL's training airfield with several preserved airliners and their nearby museum

ANG base to the north-west
Rod

Maryland replacement:
Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall - KBWI
Rod
-
Maldivian replacement:
Ibrahim Nasir International, Malé, aka Hulhulé - VRMM
Rod
-
I don't know if this is common and I've just missed it, but we've been getting ground returns from here in Iran this evening:
Kish International - OIKB
and its island, which Radarbox lacks.
Rod
-
Florida:
Jacksonville Cecil - KVQQ
Boeing F-18 maintenance and repair depot, and home to an Army National Guard station, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) station with P-3 AEWs, and a Coastguard station. Also has plans to become Cecil Spaceport.
Rod
-
Oklahoma:
Clinton-Sherman Airport - KCSM
Ex B-52 base and apparently still used for military heavies training. Otherwise it looks very quiet indeed, but with its vast runway, it's hoping for better things as Spaceport Oklahoma.
Rod
-
Colorado replacement:
Front Range - KFTG
Busy Denver ga airport, and location of the proposed Spaceport Colorado.
Rod
-
Virginia:
NASA Goddard Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) - KWAL
Actually this is the WFF Research Airport, just up the road from the Wallops Island Launch Site and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS).
There's a Visitor Centre to the east of the airport.
Rod
-
Enough Spaceports for now:
I was watching very low level returns from here in Algeria recently, so I've done a replacement:
Algiers Houari Boumediene - DAAG
Rod

France:
Lille, aka Lille-Lesquin - LFQQ
Rod

Bulgaria:
Sofia - LBSF

Two more Long Island airports:

Brookhaven Calabro - KHWV (new outline)
Rod
-
Staying in Long Island:
Republic (Farmingdale) - KFRG - home of the American Airpower Museum (second hangar from the north) - replacement
Bayport Aerodrome - 23N - new outline for this lovely old airport which is a listed historic place but which RadarBox doesn't know about.
It's south-east of KISP and has two parallel grass runways, only one of which is in use at any one time. The markings are on boards which are moved from one runway to the other as required. The hangars to the north are used by the Bayport Aerodrome Society which has a collection of many active classic aircraft.
Rod
-
Last Long Island airfield for now:
East Hampton - KHTO
Rod
-
California ga airfield, ex Castle AFB:
Castle, Atwater Merced - KMER
Home of the Castle Air Museum which specialises in bombers and has one of the four Vulcans in North America.
Rod

Hunting more North American Vulcans:

Rod
-
Last North American Vulcan location - a replacement outline:
Canadian Forces Base Goose Bay - CYYR including the civil part, Goose Bay Airport and the adjacent Goose (Otter Creek) Water Aerodrome - CCB5
The Vulcan was damaged there in 1981 and has been on display ever since, with the Labrador Military Museum being formed to preserve it.
The fourth Vulcan in North America is in a hangar in the Strategic Air and Space Museum, which has a new facility off-airport near Offutt AFB, Nebraska.

New outline for this South Dakota B-1 base:
Rapid City Ellsworth AFB - KRCA
Home of the South Dakota Air and Space Museum
Rod

Just down the road from Ellsworth:
Rapid City Regional - KRAP
Unfortunate ICAO code, but if KSUX can put up with theirs, I suppose KRAP can too.
ARNG helicopter base to the south.

Good returns are coming from here in Vietnam now:
Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon, Tân Sơn Nhất International - VVTS
Rod

Sacramento, California replacement:
McClellan - KMCC
Huge but quiet ga airport, ex McClellan AFB, and home to the Aerospace Museum of California.
This replaces my old outline which I misnamed McClennan and will have to be deleted manually - sorry!
Rod
-
With the new box in Kinshasa, here are two new Congolese airports and a replacement:
Brazzaville Maya-Maya - FCBB (Republic of the Congo)
N'Dolo - FZAB (Democratic Republic of the Congo)
Kinshasa N'djili International - FZAA (Democratic Republic of the Congo) - replacement
Rod
-
French ga airfield, home to a big annual gathering as shown on the GE image dated 2008
Blois Le Breuil - LFOQ
Rod
-
The saga of Berlin Brandenburg airport (renamed from Schönefeld) continues, but there's a new GE image, so here's a replacement for the outline done elsewhere.
The image shows the new southern runway and terminal unused and closed off, but present. I've omitted the signs of closure in the hope that one day the problems will be solved and it all becomes operational.
Berlin Brandenburg - EDDB
People who have installed the high-res version from another source will need to delete all three files while installing this one.
Rod
-
New Oregon outline:
Redmond Municipal, Roberts Field - KRDM
Home of Lancair, and with the US Forest Service Redmond Air Centre (ok, Center) to the north.
Rod
-
Replacement for an outline done elsewhere which will need to be removed manually if you installed it:
RAF Cranwell - EGYD
Aviation Heritage Centre to the south.
Rod
-
New Montana outline:
Glacier Park International - KGPI, previously known as Flathead County Airport, and apparently still widely known, including by RadarBox, as KFCA.
Rod
-
With returns currently coming from here, down to very short finals, here's the outline:
Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International - VOHS
Radarbox has the main runway, (the converted taxiway, 27R was only opened recently), and doesn't know the ICAO code - head for Hyderabad's old international airport, VOHY, and head south.
Rod
-
A new Google Earth image means an updated outline:
Milan Malpensa - LIMC
Easyjet's terminal to the north, Volandia museum to the west in Caproni's first factory.
Rod
-
Alabama replacement:
Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International - KBHM
ANG bases to the north and central south, Southern Museum of Flight to the east.
Rod

Two neighbouring Chinese replacements:
Ningbo Lishe International - ZSNB

We get occasional returns from here, and there's a new Google Earth image, so here's a replacement:
Riyadh King Khalid International - OERK

A long-awaited new image in Google Earth means a replacement:
Montego Bay Sangster International - MKJS
Rod
-
Hi Rod
Just a reminder to change the name of Johannesburg to the new designater. FAJS became FAOR on 10 January
-
Hi Chris
I'll happily do that, but it won't affect anything in RadarBox - the map will continue to show FAJS until a new map is provided with a new software release.
Changing the code in the Airlines table entry for Joburg using Database Explorer will allow the origin/destination lines to lead to the right airport.
Rod
-
Thats been done FAOR is in the d/b and will become available in Myflights with the next Navdata. Already showing in Network flights
Alan
-
Sorry - I meant to type "changing the code in the Airports table" - that will allow flights showing FAOR to show correct origin/destination lines.
Alan - I realise that you've already done that for Routes.
Rod
-
In addition to the server routes table being changed, FAOR is also included on the server airports table with full airport details, lat/long etc so the org/destination lines should be there as well but as Rod states until the next Navdata is published to get the line to show, FAJS will require to be changed to FAOR in the routes table on your computer
As stated, FAJS will still remain on the map as there is nothing I can do about it.

Replacement outline for China's 5th busiest airport now that the new second runway is visible in Google Earth. The new terminal is shown under construction, with the ramps still to be started. The new terminal is due to be open by now - don't know if it is.
Shenzhen Bao'an International - ZGSZ
Rod

A replacement for Melbourne's GA airport:
Essendon - YMEN
Rod
-
A replacement for Melbourne's other GA airport and the 2nd busiest airport in Australia:

Also named after Harry Hawker, who was born in Moorabbin. And home to the Australian National Aviation Museum, AKA Moorabbin Air Museum.
Rod

Replacement:
Al Maktoum International - OMDW the code coming from its previous name of Dubai World Central International Airport
RadarBox doesn't know about it - head southwest from OMDB
Rod

A new outline for a change, a busy GA airport near to Salt Lake City, Utah:
Ogden-Hinckley - KOGD
Rod
-
Another new one, in Georgia, USA, this time:
Tullahoma Regional - KTHA
The Beechcraft Heritage Museum occupies the cluster of buildings to the south.
Rod
-
Rod, you have done it as a text doc.
Alan
-
Not again!
Thanks, Alan - now corrected.
Rod

Here's another attempt for a Georgia airfield:
Athens Ben Epps - KAHN
Rod
-
Across to Texas - I saw a UAL B764 on approach there on the network this afternoon:
Killeen–Fort Hood Regional - KGRK aka Robert Gray Army Airfield
Rod

it's been very long since my last outline, mainly due to lack off time, but today with the dreadfull weather, i was looking at places where i might go spotting this summer, and Ramstein AB could be a possibility
the outline we have could do with a update, so here is one
-
A new little one for Yorkshire, UK:
Leeds Heliport - EGNP
Just north of EGNM
Rod

New one:
Tbilisi - UGTB (Georgia) known to Radarbox under its old code, UGGG
The Google Earth image of the single operational runway is too burned-out to see, and the eastern runway is permanently(?) closed.

With all the action going on in New Orleans to do with the fate of a funny-shaped ball, here's a new local outline:
New Orleans Lakefront - KNEW
Rod
-
This new airport is due to open in April, but there are some problems, and I hope it doesn't turn into another Brandenburg!
Doha Hamad International - OTHH
RadarBox doesn't know about it, but it's easy to find - it's right next door to OTBD, which it's due to completely replace.
It is huge - apparently every parking bay is A380 sized.
Rod
-
Colorado:
Eagle County Regional - KEGE
Rod
-
Good ground returns from here in China earlier today:
Jinan Yaoqiang International - ZSJN
RadarBox's runway is slightly off - aircraft are landing on my outline's runway rather than the RadarBox one.
Rod
-
We're getting good returns from round here in Argentina, so here's a replacement:
Buenos Aires Aeroparque Jorge Newbery - SABE
Rod
-
Replacement for the main Buenos Aires International airport:
Ministro Pistarini International (Ezeiza) - SAEZ
Rod

China's 9th busiest airport now that the new south-side runway and terminal have opened and a new GE image is available:
Xi'an Xianyang International - ZLXY
Rod

Now that we're getting returns down to short finals, here's the outline:
Bali Denpasar Ngurah Rai International - WADD. It's known by RadarBox under its old code of WRRR
Rod

I've done an update to replace our Hong Kong outline. It's a little messy in places but at least it's now got the latest buidings, including the island terminal, and more markings. The Google Earth image is from this January.
Hong Kong International - VHHH
Rod

French replacement:
La Rochelle – Île de Ré Airport - LFBH
Rod

New Zealander by special request:
Tauranga - NZTG
Rod
-
Hi Rod,
I know you are busy with logo's but when you get some free time I see we are getting good ground returns from URSS Sochi, the playground of the Russian rich.
Alan
-
Hi Alan
I've been contemplating this one for a long time, but it has been a bit messy in GE for a while - building works etc. But with the Winter Olympics coming up, I'll give it another look.
Rod
-
Here it is - many markings are invisible, and taxiway/runway work is still in progress in the GE image, but I've done it anyway:
Sochi International - URSS
Also, while we're in the area, a local user, Petr Pletnyakov, did this outline some time ago, and hasn't posted it, so I hope he doesn't mind if I do:
Stavropol Shpakovskoye - URMT
Rod
-
Many thanks Rod.
Alan

Ground returns are coming from here in Argentina:
San Carlos de Bariloche - SAZS

Hi Rod, any chance you can make an outline for EPGD (Gdansk Poland)
There is amazing HD webcams located all over the airport showing the gates/runways etc. I have been watching this for some time now and it would be nice to have a detailed outline?
regards,
Jason
-
It's about time I did another outline!
The Google Earth image is from 2011 and the construction work for the new Terminal 2 and the taxiway are still in progress, so I've had to do some guesswork:
EPGD - Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport
-
Thank you sir! It looks great!
Jason
-
My pleasure :-)
While I'm at it, I just noticed that at last, Google Earth has caught up with Frankfurt's fourth runway, so here it is, as an addition to the hi-res main Frankfurt outline (pun intended) done elsewhere. The joins are pretty obvious, but it's better than not having it at all.
EDDF - Frankfurt Airport 4th runway
-
We're getting ground returns from here:
Belém / Val de Cans–Júlio Cezar Ribeiro International - SBBE
-
A new Google Earth image of this, so a replacement outline:
Tallinn - EETN
-
And another new GE image:
Easton Newnam Field, Maryland - KESN
-
Hi Rod,
Would be possible a new outline for Alicante Airport - LEAL?.
Thank you!!
-
Hi Carras320
I'll certainly put it on the list, but the current Google Earth image is dated 2007, and doesn't show the "new" terminal 3, so an outline I do today would be much the same as the one Vonsmalhausen did in 2011.
As soon as a new GE image appears, I'll happily do a new version.
-
Meanwhile, the clouds have lifted from Google's image of Arlanda, so here's a replacement outline:
Stockholm Arlanda - ESSA
-
Poland: new Google Earth images show the new terminal and taxiway at Rzeszów–Jasionka Airport, and the new tarmac and grass runways at the neighbouring aviation college's Rzeszów airfield, so here are replacements:
Rzeszow-Jasionka - EPRZ
Rzeszow Airfield - EPRJ
-
New Canadian outline:
Thunder Bay International - CYQT
-
New Indonesian outline:
Syamsudin Noor Airport - WAOO
-
Replacement:
Cancún International Airport - MMUN

Some little French airfields - RadarBox only knows about one of them - follow the directions for the others:
Saint-Rambert-d'Albon - LFLR - head west-south-west from LFLS
Montelimar Ancone - LFLQ - home to the European Fighter Aircraft Museum
Montceau-les-Mines Pouilloux - LFGM - head north-west from LFLN
Lyon-Corbas - LFHJ - head south from LFLY

Continuing the French theme, two more tiny ones that RadarBox doesn't know about, and a bigger one:
St Omer - Wizernes - LFQN - head southwest from LFAC
Saint-Junien - LFBJ - due west of LFBL
Limoges - Bellegarde - LFBL (this is a replacement for an old version)
-
An update to Toulouse, and a new Connecticut airport outline:
Toulouse Blagnac - LFBO - replacement
Bridgeport Igor I. Sikorsky Memorial Airport - KBDR - the huge building to the north was the Sikorsky factory, now unused.

Hi Rod, I know you have done an detailed outline for CYYZ, and it is amazing...
I just wanted to know if there is anything you can do to improve on it? I live so close to the airport, it would be nice to have even more detail....Is there anyway I can get one with more detail from either you or elsewhere?
let me know!
thanks,
Jason
-
Hi Jason
The short answer is no! I don't know of any other available outlines of CYYZ, and the outline that I did contains as much detail as I have the patience to add.
-
Thanks Rod, thats what I figured, but just wanted to ask! :)
Everyone here appreciates your work.
Jason
-
Thanks for your understanding, Jason :-)

Hi Rod, any chance you can do an outline for CYQA, Muskoka Airport
It is a general aviation airport north of Toronto Canada right in my fathers home town.
I have 2 other airports within my viewing range....CYHM. Hamilton Ontario which is where the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is located! Home of the Lancaster in Canada!
And CYKF Waterloo Regional which has a fair amount of traffic...
Thanks if you can!
Jason
-
Here's the next new Chinese outline:
Qingdao Liuting International - ZSQD
And yes, Jason, I'll do those next - Hamilton's been on my 'get round to eventually' list for ages, but they have all got good clear images in Google Earth, so they are no problem, unlike Trenton which is too over-exposed to be useful :-(
-
And here's the first of Jason's requests:
Muskoka - CYQA
-
Jason's other two:
Hamilton International - CYHM - replacement outline
Region of Waterloo International - CYKF
-

-
New Indian outline:
Bangalore Kempegowda International - VOBL. RadarBox has the runway but not the ICAO code, but I can't find a way of jumping to it - go to the the airport it replaced, VOBG, and head north.
-
Hi Rod,
I have removed the details for VOBG from the server and replaced with the details for VOBL. Unfortunately I cannot delete the VOBG identifier from the software nor add the VOBL identifier but everything else should be OK from tomorrows Navdata update.
Alan
-
Hi Alan
According to Wikipedia, VOBG is still being used for GA, by the military, and for HAL flight testing - it's just the airline activity that moved to VOBL - so we need them both.
-
OK Rod, no problem consider it re-instated.
Alan
-
New outline in Montana:

RadarBox doesn't know about either of these - for EGHC head due west from Culdrose (EGDR), and from EGHC head southwest for EGHE.

Hi Rod
Are there any outlines for Fairoaks EGTF and Northolt EGWU
Thanks
Graham
-
Hi Graham
They are both available from SBS Resources.
Email or PM me with your email address if you want me to send them to you.
-
Rod
Thanks got the SBS resources downloaded. Can see fairoaks and Northolt. But there are three file options which one do I use and do I have to rename the file?
Graham
-
You need all three of each, and they don't need renaming - just put them all in your Outlines folder.
And you don't even need to close/restart RadarBox - once the new outline files are in the folder, just switch to fullscreen map view (press ESC) and when you switch back, the outlines will appear.
-
up and running
Cheers
Graham
-
Well done, Graham :-)
Here's a new Michigan outline:

CYVV (Wiarton)

By the way, Trenton's image in Google Earth has just been updated, but it hasn't transferred to Google Maps yet - it normally takes a few days, so I'll do it when that happens
As to Mountain View, in the GE image dated May 2012 it looks to be abandoned - is it still actually in use these days?
-
Back in February, Carras320 asked for a new Alicante outline. The GE image has at last been updated, so here it is - a replacement for our current one:
Alicante-Elche - LEAL
-
Hi Rod, CFB Mountainview is definitely still in use. It is the graveyard for old Canadian Forces aircraft. Some interesting pictures online of it if you google it. Tons of old F-5 Freedon Fighters, Tutors and T-33's lined up there..
regards,
Jason
-
From Wiki re Mountainview
The main use of CFB Trenton Mountain View Detachment is the storage and overhaul of older aircraft. This facility belongs to the Aerospace and Telecommunications Engineering Support Squadron (ATESS) based at Trenton. In September 2000, 8 Wing Trenton opened the Canadian Parachute Centre's (now the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre) drop zone at Mountain View. The Mountain View facility is also used by Central Region Gliding School (CRGS) for Royal Canadian Air Cadets glider training.
A new gravel runway was constructed in 2006 to train Canadian Forces CC-130 Hercules aircraft crew in landing on unprepared landing strips. A CC-177 Globemaster III demonstrated similar capabilities in 2009
Alan
-
Hi Chaps
Yes, I read the Wikipedia page (I always do), but the last news is from 2009. The GE image is from 2012, and there isn't an aircraft in sight, and there are no runway markings. The five Panoramio photos show some interesting planes parked, and a glider, but they were all uploaded in 2009. Every external link on the page is dead, which isn't encouraging.
Airliners.net has just one photo of a Herk doing a parachute drop there earlier this year, but again, the photos of all the aircraft parked there date from 2009 or before.
Still, If Jason reckons it's still an active airfield, I'll do the outline soon - it shouldn't take long ;-)
BTW I see that Pickton Airport, just down the road, doesn't have any runway markings to speak of either - must be a Prince Edward thing...
-
Cheers Rod,
The aircraft that Jason mentions were there to be scrapped and I believe are long gone.
From what I can see the airfield is now solely for civilian use.
Alan
-
And here it is:
CFD Mountain View - CPZ3
I did come across an area of apparently dumped aircraft (mainly Canadair Tutors, I think) in the eastern corner of the airfield.
-
Yeah those are definitely tutors there. I have a friend who lives out that way and says planes are coming and going all the time. Not too long ago it was loaded with F-5's, T-33's etc....I guess they move them around...
-
Hey guys check out this link of Mountainview...
Some interesting pics!

-
Hi Rod, I think sometime back I asked for an outline for Niagara Falls International Airport....Air Force reserve base..
I think you said it was obscured by clouds on GE or something like that,
I just looked it up on GE now and it appears very clear..
KIAG is the airport code? Can it be done?
Alot of Hercs in and out of there..
Cheers,
Jason
-
Such a shame that the aircraft at Mountain View were mostly worth more dead than alive!
The GE image of Niagara Falls is still burned out (lots of plain white runways and ramps), and shows construction work going on at the intersection of runways 28R and 24, as well as at the threshold of runway 06.
It's dated June 2011, so I hope we'll get an refreshed image soon that will reveal all the missing detail. It's still on the list...
And I've just noticed four planes on display around the ANG base, which makes me even more keen to do it! Make that five - I've jusr spotted a Voodoo!
-
A Voodoo? Where are you seeing that Rod, all I see are 4 Hercs parked on the ramp??
I am on GE now, with an imagery date of May 4th, 2013
I see all runways with no constriction?
Jason
-
(https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3916/14517417550_7042d96f02_b.jpg) (https://flic.kr/p/o7RysA)Niagara Falls International May 2013 (https://flic.kr/p/o7RysA) by CYYZGUY (https://www.flickr.com/people//), on Flickr
-
Interesting - you're getting a more recent image than me. Yours is dated 5/4/2013 - mine's dated 10/6/2011.
You'll see the construction work in my image - Voodoo circled
-
Are you moving the slider across to access to most current date?
I know you can go back many years historically........I think by default mine was 2011 as well until I changed it? Bottom left corner of my screen where it says 1995, when you click on it you can access the slider bar...top left corner and go back to 1995, and all the way to May 2013
cheers,
-
The image used by Google Maps (and it's the Maps image that the outlining tool uses) is the default Google Earth image - I can't use more recent images in Earth until they are moved across to Maps - and I doubt if the 2013 image will be as it's blurred and is very wobbly, espcially to the north of the airport.
We'll just have to wait.
-
Her's a new outline for a Russian airport that has just had an update in Google Earth and Maps:
Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk - UHSS
-
Another refreshed image in Google Earth means a new Polish outline that I've had on my list for ages:
Katowice International - EPKT - known to RadarBox under its previous military name of Pyrzowice.
A new runway is being built to the north of the current one.
-
New Nevada outline:
Elko Regional, J.C. Harris Field - KEKO
-
Rod,
We are getting returns from the Tehran area this morning, would you be able to do outlines for the 2 Tehran airports please.
Alan
-
Here's one I've been waiting for for ages - home of the National Air Force Museum of Canada:
CFB Trenton - CYTR
I'm off to Tehran now...
-
Thank you sir!
JAson
-
It's a pleasure!
Now Iran's main international airport:
Tehran Imam Khomeini International - OIIE
I've just looked at Mehrabad - it's vast - may not get it finished today!
-
Many thanks Rod, much appreciated.
Alan
-
And here's the other major Tehran airport:
Mehrabad International - OIII
-
Great Rod, much appreciated as always.
Alan
-
New outline:
Lima Jorge Chávez International, Peru - SPIM
-
New outline:
Piedmont Triad International - KGSO - North Carolina
Home of the HondaJet. The north-west runway is new, so RadarBox doesn't have it.
-
At last, one of Jason's requests has been updated in Google Earth, so I've done the RadarBox outline replacement:
Niagara Falls International - KIAG
Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station to the north.
-
Thank you sir!
-
My pleasure :-)
Now a Spanish replacement:
Valencia (Manises) - LEVC
-
Replacement - a minor update for this Indiana airport:
Fort Wayne International - KFWA
-
Replacement - a minor update for this Texas airport:
Arlington Municipal - KGKY
-
A new Texan outline, just up the road from KGKY. Radarbox knows about this, but doesn't have the runway.
Grand Prairie Municipal - KGPM
Home of Airbus Helicopter Inc
-
Staying in the Dallas area, here's another update:
Fort Worth Meacham International - KFTW
-
With Stobart Air's plans for reviving Carlisle Airport in northern England, I thought I'd do an outline. This replaces one done elsewhere which will need removing.
Carlisle Lake District - EGNC
-
Thanks to a Google Earth update, a new outline:
Warsaw–Modlin Mazovia - EPMO
RadarBox knows about it, but hasn't got the runway.
-
New Italian outline:
Taranto-Grottaglie "Marcello Arlotta" - LIBG
Military to the east, Alenia's Dreamliner fuselage and stabiliser plant in the big buildings to the west.

La Palma - GCLA
-
Rod,
Any chance of an outline for MMGL Guadalajara as we have returns from around there at this time
Alan
-
Hi Alan - hadn't noticed those returns - the GE image is fine, though old (2009) so I'll get round to it soon.
-
Cheers Rod, no hurry
Alan
-
Here we are:
Guadalajara International - MMGL
-
Many thanks Rod
Alan
-
My pleasure :-)
-
New Louiisiana outline:
Shreveport Regional - KSHV
Runway 6/24 was under repair with markings obscured when the Google Earth image was taken.
-
Replaceemt for this Azores airport:
Lajes Field - LPLA
USAF base to the north, civil terminal to the south-west.
-
A special request in northern Germany:

-
Many thanks Rod
Alan
-
Always a pleasure, Alan :-)
-
Rod,
OOMS Muscat has recently opened a new runway, would you be able to update the outline please.
Many thanks
Alan
-
Hi Rod, I will bring this back up the page a bit in case you haven't seen the request for the OOMS replacement for the second runway.
MTIA
Alan
-
Hi Alan - I had missed your request - the new GE image shows such major changes there that I'll do a new outline soon.
-
Cheers Rod
Alan
-
Here's the replacement outline:
Muscat International (Seeb) - OOMS
In the Google Earth image, the new terminal is still under construction, so that whole area of the airport is provisional.
-
Many thanks Rod
Alan
-
New German outline:
Friedrichshafen - EDNY
Zeppelin base to the north. Home to the Dornier museum.
-
Time for another zip.
The last zip was in post #406 on the 23rd June last year, and this zip contains all the outlines posted since then.
The All Outlines zip is on my downloads page here: www.rodbearden.com/RadarBox/Downloads.htm (http://www.rodbearden.com/RadarBox/Downloads.htm) It has all the latest versions of the outlines posted on the forum and includes the outlines in the zip in this post.
-
Here's a special request:
"London" Southend - EGMC
This replaces an outline done elsewhere that some of you have.
-
Cheers Rod, many thanks to you.
-
New Croatian outline:
Split (Resnik) - LDSP
Military heliport on the coast to the south, seaplane jetty (LDSR) for European Coastal Airlines' Twin Otter (and possibly Grumman Goose) operations east of that.
-
A new airport that I've been waiting to do for years, and it's at last appeared in Google Earth. It opened in 2010:
Brive-Souillac, Dordogne Valley Airport - LFSL
This is not known to RadarBox, which thinks that LFSL is Toul-Rosières Air Base, long closed.
To find Souillac, go to LFBV (which has also now closed) and head south.
-
Rod,
When you get a bit of time can you do a new one please. SKBQ Baranquilla now has a comstation unit on airport.
Alan
-
OK Alan - give me a day or two...
-
Here you are, Alan:
Barranquilla Ernesto Cortissoz International, Colombia - SKBQ
-
Fabulous Rod, many thanks
Alan
-
My pleasure, Alan.
Here's an update for the Spanish outline done by Vonsmalhausen many moons ago. The new terminal is now visible on Google Earth, and taxiways and holds have been remodelled. Replace the current outline with this one:
Alicante–Elche - LEAL
-
Thanks Rod for the update on Alicante.
Ian
-
No problem - here's another Spaniard:
Teruel is a new airport operated by an aircraft maintenance and storage company. Google Earth shows 39 airliners stored there last year. I believe there may have been an airfield here before the new facility was built.
Teruel - LETL
RadarBox doesn't know about it - go to LECH and head south.
-
Thanks Rod,
Lots of UTAir and Transaero aircraft currently in storage there.
Ian
-
A new outline for an Indiana airport:
South Bend International - KSBN
-
New Florida outline:
Florida Keys Marathon - KMTH
-
Hi Rod Bearden. Do you have any special software for to make the Outlines? Thanks in advance.
Ricardo Gomes
-
Possibly Rod is using this http://acme.com/jef/outlines/ or another similar website.
Ingo
-
Ricardo,
If you have any special requests for outlines, please advise Rod and I am sure he will oblige
Alan
-
Hi Ricardo
Yes, I do use the website that Ingo refers to - Jordan's Outliner, and as Alan says, I'm open to do requests. If you want to do outlines yourself, I do have instructions on how to do them - let me know, and I'll try to find them.
-
Hi Rod,
Would this work to produce adjustable range rings ?
-
Hi John
You might be able to produce fixed range rings, but it wouldn't be an easy task. So basically the answer is no.
-
Rod,
OK, I acually meant to adjust the radar rings that are already there or produce new ones in a different cdolour that make more sence than 78.2 nm. Sometning like 5 ; 10; 20 ; etc; 100nm; and so on.
-
I don't know of any way to change the rings we already have.
-
Thank you for all the replies. I already use Jordan's Outlines website to make Faro Airport (LPFR) updated outlines. Regards.
-
OK rsgomes - if you want to share your updated outline, you are very welcome to post it here...
-
Here are. The lpfr.out has some outlines made by Rod Bearden :) Runway, Terminal, Airbridges and other buildings.
Faro Airport (FAO/LPFR)
-
Many thanks for those rsgomes - they replace the old Faro Portugal LPFR.out file.
-
Here are the outlines from Oporto Airport (OPO/LPPR). Enjoy :)
-
Here are the outlines from Madeira - Funchal Airport (FNC/LPMA). Enjoy :)
-
Hi Rod,
We have a new airport for Rostov in Russia due to open next month URRP, ROV, Platov International Airport. Any chance of an outline for it please. Lat 47.4939, Lon 39.9247
Alan
-
Hi Alan
I'm between computers at the moment - awaiting delivery of the new one today. With any luck I'll be fully up and running within the week and I'll see if I can remember how to do outlines then!
-
Thanks Rod, yes its been a while
Alan
-
Afternoon Rod,

Here we are - new computer working fine - I've at last successfully upgraded to version 6!
URRP - Platov International Airport - head north-northeast from URRR
The Google Earth image is over a year old, and lacks details, including finished buildings and any markings. I'll try to update this as soon as a new image appears.

Many thanks Rod, appreciated.

Morning Rod,
Now that you are back doing new outlines, a new airport has just opened at Dakar in Senegal. The details are :

My pleasure - just watched Emirates' first flight arrive.
-
You need to get out more. ;-))
Best wishes Rod, Dave.
-
I'm sure you're right, Dave, but I've got my new computer to play with!

Hi there,
Apparently, Jordan's Outline Maker website stopped working. Someone knows some alternative to create outlines? Best regards.
Ricardo Gomes
-
Hi Ricardo - Jordan's is working OK for me: http://www.acme.com/jef/outlines/
-
With me the page and map opens, ok, but when I click on the map to place points nothing happens, I just can drag the map.
-
Hmmm - I'm using it with no problems - I'm using Firefox...
-
It's my fault, I didn't have Java installed. Problem solved ;) Best regards.
Ricardo Gomes
-
Ah - I didn't know it needed Java - well done!

Hi Rod
When you get some time can you do an outline for Istanbul New Airport LTFM due to open soon although it has been delayed a bit.
28.7519 / 41.2753
Thanks in advance

Hi Alan
I haven't ignored your request, but the Google Earth/Jordan's Outliner images are still too rough to do anything useful, but I'll keep an eye on it...
-
Thanks Rod
Alan
-
Well, now that operations are moving to the new Istanbul airport, I've done an emergency outline.
The Google Earth image is very rough, but not as rough and old as the one in Jordan's Outliner, so this is really the best I can do for now - just two runway centrelines, the control tower, and a rough guess at the terminal. Not even a taxiway is clear enough yet. I'll watch out for improvements....
Istanbul Airport - LTFM

Great, thanks Rod

Hello Rod,
Can you please make the LPSO outlines - Ponte de Sor Airport - https://skyvector.com/airport/LPSO/Ponte-De-Sor-Airport ?
Thanks,
Manuel S.
-
Hi Manuel - sorry about the delay.
Ponte de Sor Airport - LPSO
In case there's anyone who doesn't know where it is, head south-east from LP0A (that's zero-alpha)

Thanks Rod
Manuel

Hi Rod
I am looking for outlines for Dubrovnik and Tivat airports. Do you have either available?
Thanks and regards
Mark
-
Hi Mark - sorry, I haven't done them, but I'll add them to my to-do list (which is unfortunately quite long).
-
Hi Rod
The new Berlin Brandenburg EDDB/BER is due to open at last on 31st October, depending on your workload would you be able to provide an outline for it please
Alan

Hi Alan - We already have a version that I did in 2012 - nothing much has changed since. Here it is again.

Thanks Rod
