Post by: Netcop on January 27, 2012, 07:17:52 AM
Colleagues,

What's the maximum size for thumbnails in ShipTraÑ… software screen interface - 400 x 240 or 400 X 267?

Regards,
Nick

400x266 is the maximum displayed, but any size thumbnail can be stored in the PhotoShip folder, driven by a maximum width of 400.  Thumbnails are automatically retrieved from shipspotting.com

Are photos chosen by mmsi number or any other info, like IMO, ENI numbers etc.

I believe they're chosen by IMO number, but you'll need Airnav to confirm that.  In my experience, anything where the IMO number isn't known (no static data received) doesn't get a photo.

Inland Shipping has no IMO number, but an ENI number, so you'll never get photos from inland shipping; maybe 50% of shipping in Rotterdam is inland...

Although when I tested inland shipping for you, photos appeared okay.  See http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=6274.msg67689#msg67689

So maybe it uses IMO or ENI or MMSI number.  You can try examples at http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo-search.php where ShipTrax gets thumbnails from.
