They should all show A383 - you can edit the incorrect ones in the aircraft table of your data

They should all show A388 as the AT as this is the ICAO designation for the type.

There are no AT A380 in the d/b if you have any I would suggest you have a very old d/b and should consider updating to the latest one from November http://www.airnavsystems.com/Download/ANRB/DBUpdater/ANRBDBUpdater20111129.exe

This is caused by a known Bug of the software. Other types are affected as well. E.G.:

-B77L which populates as B77F
-C17 which populates as -I don't know any more-
maybe the -A306 which populates as A300
-K35R which  populates as - I don't know any more-

Some Types aren't populated automatically at all.

All A380-8** shall be stated with AT of A388. If Airbus finally will build the A380-9** Series the AT of A389 will be their ICAO Type designator.

As long as the Bug isn't fixed by new software release you have to get to the Database explorer and amend or add the AT by hand. Or you wait for the next db release and get all the new airframes with correct Type designators. Current release: http://www.airnavsystems.com/Download/ANRB/DBUpdater/ANRBDBUpdater20111129.exe

Normally that bug is only a problem if you dont have the aircraft in the d/b

Agreed, but any new -means one that isn't already in the db- A380 received, will be auto-populated with AT of A380, aren't it?

For example Thursday A6-EDT was showed as A380

Agreed, because of the bug, if entered in the d/b in the last month since the last update was published it will show as an AT of A380 until the next d/b update or until a manual update is applied.  A good reason to ensure the latest update is installed to minimise these occurances, there have been 3 A380's of Emirates added since the last update. A6-EDT was one such added 2/12.

I clear forgot about the bug that guesses the AT designation if the aircraft isnt in the d/b.  You will also find that with some like E190 and E170 the AT is blank and requires a manual update until the next d/b release.
