Title: Question - Startup Parameters
Post by: tarbat on March 11, 2008, 09:54:13 AM
I asked this on another thread, but here goes again:

- New startup parameters to automate application usage;

Has anyone discovered what these startup parameters are?

Okay, so we now know that "/connect" does an automatic login.  Any other startup parameters?

NO for now. Actually the feature list should say "startup parameter" and not "parameters". Anyway we are ready for suggestions.

I'm not sure about how useful these would be, but how about:

/local - local hardware only - no network flights
/network - network only, no local hardware flights
/mapcolour,colourname - to load a particular map colour scheme

Copied. Send more ideas if you have.

Another one crossed my mind - particularly if you make the full-screen map view more flexible as I have suggested elsewhere:

/fullmap - skip the Start screen and start in full-screen map view
also:
/home - start with Home centred
/minimise - skip the Start screen and start with RB minimised
/demo - skip the Start screen and go straight to Demo mode (possibly dealers might find this useful?)

Some great suggestions there Rod - seems like you have read my mind!

How about;

/record
/notraillines (RB forgets your last setting was Off when you restart the program)
/acars (as annoyingly again RB forgets it was last set to On and you have to remember to start the ACARS program before RB loads)

Thanks & regards,
