Hi guys its been quite a while since I have been on the forum, just a couple of questions how is the 3D element of AirNav shaping up is it popular?, and secondly I am interested in buying a 6 month subscription for the Real Time Network, is there a direct link for this, I recall the last time I did this it was done via some info on the back of my RB?.
I may be interested in running the 3D if I can get some positive feedback.
All the best

You can purchase the subscription from the link below
http://www.airnavsystems.com/RadarBox/order.html
As long as you enter your serial correctly (on the base of your RadarBox) its activated as soon as you purchase.
From our perspective the 3D version is popular and most of the feedback we have had has been great but we will leave the customers to express what they think.

Hello
3D is a good thing to have for occasional amusement but it requires A far better computer than 2d Especially if you do not use any filters, turn off the network or if you want want 3d models instead of spheres and it also needs permanent internet connection as well.

Don't use 3D - prefer the 3D picture in my head :)

Can not afford 3d, but very happy with the rest.

I tend to use 2D for most of the time, but switch to 3D when I'm looking at something specific, such as a particular aircraft on approach, or when a helicopter is doing "interesting" manouvers. I probably use 3D about 5% of the time.
If you can afford it, then it's worth while. But you will need to tune the various 3D settings to the capabilities of your PC. IMO, it's best to start with Hardware Flights on MAXIMUM, and Network Flights on MINIMUM - works well on my dual-core Pentium 2.8GHz. Unless you have a super-fast PC, beware of using MAXIMUM on Network Flights.
