Title: RadarBox 2008 - From the Development Team
Post by: AirNav Development on March 11, 2008, 01:27:09 AM
It was with great interest that we have been reading our forum during the last days with all the comments received from users regarding the new RadarBox 2008 version.

We want to make all users sure that we are copying all problem reports and our team is actively working on them. As we told RadarBox 2008 is based on a totally new technology and when we make such drastic changes problems are inevitable. The most reported problem (application freezes) is related to the application working on a thread basis now and is being properly corrected.

The good news is that most of them problems are easy to correct and we want to release a patch in 5 to 10 days. So count on us and expect goo news soon.

Also it is great to see that 90% (at least those who connect to the network) of the users already upgraded to V1.4! Thanks.

I will eagerly await the patch.  I'm going to continue to use 1.4 in the meantime but with no network connection.

Copied. Don't forget that V1.3 is still available on a different folder (totally independent from V1.4). Please let us know of any more bug reports and we will try to include all the corrections in the patch.

Two minor bugs.

1) MyLog window is slightly larger then monitor screen

2) Alerts won't sound for flights within 'X' nautical miles

Although not a bug I sure would like to have the capablity to add 'Heard' and 'visual' to my contacts in MyFlights

Cheers

Paul

hopefully its not just me .. when updating MyLog, the "new" information is not always stored (saved), I keep editing the same information.. I have also noticed that some aircraft are more prone to this problem than others. Could you maby add a save database button, to save all the information once edited?

I must add.. when the aircraft are being tracked, then the MyLog modifications doesn't want to save the info.

thanks

Work okay for me.  I know this sound obvious, but have you set the correct Lat/Long for your location - eg:

AirNav,

Just a minor point but when I do have a problem with Radarbox 2008 and I have to close it, the alert box states "RadarBox 2007 has encountered a problem and needs to close".  Any chance of changing 2007 to read 2008 as it is a bit confusing - or is this a Vista problem and/or the result of some info on 2007 still being in the registry?

No get the same message here and I'm using Xp Pro Sp2

I completely removed 2007 and get the same message.

Just for info, my laptop has just been reformatted and the only thing on it is 2008 and it shows the same message also, so nothing hanging around in the registry.
