Post by: RodBearden on September 05, 2010, 10:45:43 AM
THis is a replacement for the previous outlines thread which will soon be deleted to speed up the forum.

Here's a zip of all the outlines in that thread since the last zip. All the outlines are available from Allocator's website here http://radarbox.gofreeserve.com/index.html

I see Google Earth has been updated and the new King Shaka International (FALE) now appears there. Any change of an outline?

Hi Chris - thanks for the heads-up - I see the Google Earth image is of before the airport was finished, so I'll have to guess some bits, but I'll give it a go soon.

Well here it is - a bit of guesswork, but it seems to tie in with the photos that I've seen, so it's probably better than nothing.

You may already have the runway centreline that I did a few months ago, which was named King Shaka FALE.out, so I've named this outline slightly differently so they will live together (at least they line up nicely).

King Shaka International (La Mercy) - FALE

Dubai International - OMDB (new outline)

Another update, this time to O'Hare, to include the new north runway. Again, I've just added an extra bit to the existing outline, so the join with the existing outline is a bit dodgy. One day I'll do it properly. Replace the existing outline file with this one.

Chicago O'Hare - KORD

Long time no outline.

Here's Norway's oldest operational military airfield (according to Wikipedia), but NAX operate a few flights, and it's a GA airport as well. It's also used for training by British forces.

Another update, this time for Washington Dulles International - KIAD and its new (to Google Earth, anyway) western 01L/19R runway.

Again, I've just tacked the extra bit onto the existing outline, so it's a little messy but better than nothing.

This file replaces your existing one.

Here's another update, this time for Denver KDEN to add the new west runway.

Again the join to the existing outline is pretty ropey. One day I'll get round to doing the whole thing again, unless a hi-res one appears first.

Use this addon as well as the existing KDEN outline.

Hi,
One question:
Is there a possibility to download a google earth map for RB? The maps available from Sattelite Layer is no good resolution at all and you can not zoom in or out beause all ground details becomes unreadable...
Title: Re: Outlines
Post by: RodBearden on January 09, 2011, 12:35:34 PM
Hi Dana - no, not really - but the 3D version uses the real Google Earth, so that's the best option.

In the 2D mode, it is possible to use maps from anywhere, but they all work the same way as the NASA images - the more you zoom in, the more pixellated the image becomes. There are forum threads about how to do this, Try this as a starting point: http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=1447.msg11180#msg11180

I've been watching an RV-6 buzzing round here on the network:

Marana Northwest Regional Airport / Avra Valley Airport - KAVQ
Pinal Airpark - KMZJ including Silverbell Army Heliport (the area to the north) where Apache training (including for the British army) happens.

At Avra Vally on Google Earth I counted 6 4-engined propliners including 3 Connies, at least 13 Skyhawks, and 6 Starships. And there were 7 Albatrosses at Pinal. Davis-Monthan's just down the road, too. More rust than dust round there! (OK, I know there's not much to rust in a Starship, but you know what I mean.)

Durban's new airport, King Shaka International, FALE, is clearer in Google Earth, and I've noticed that some of the guesses I made last time were wrong. Here's a replacement for that, along with the separarate outline consisting of just the runway centreline. I've kept it separate so that it can be easily removed if (when) the RadarBox map gets updated.

FINALLY found the trick to make decent outlines :-)
i had to zoom in much more on the map.
here are 4 more Belgian airports ;
EBUL, Ursel : a former reserve NATO airfield, now used by a airclub
EBSU, St.-Hubert AB, same story
EBSH, St.-Hubert grasfield, mainly used for gliders : did the contours, buildings and rwy, as there is nothing on the RB map apart from the name
EBBX, also a former military reserve field, now used for recreative aviation

Rod, i noticed the outlines for Bertrix are "out of line" with the rwy possition on the RB map ( EBSU also, but not that much ) is there a way to correct this ? please let me know.
Title: Re: Outlines
Post by: RodBearden on January 16, 2011, 01:10:48 PM
That's better, Thomas - well done :-) As you've discovered, it's not difficult, just time-comsuming!

As to the alignment with the RadarBox runways, I really don't know whether it is the RB runways or Google Earth that is inaccurate. Obviously we can't change the RB runways, and should it be Google Earth that's wrong, devising an offset to the outline is completely beyond me.

I have noticed on a few outlines where we have had RadarBox returns, that aircraft tend to align to the outlines rather than the RB runway lines, but we know that many aircraft report wrong positions too, so I don't draw any general conclusions from that.

3 more for today, 2 Belgian, 1 Dutch

another ex reserve field of the Belgian Airforce, Zutendaal EBSL
former main training airfield of the BAF, St.-Truiden EBST

another Belgian airfield/strip, not showing on the RB map
used to be a busy local field with several training schools (SABENA omong them), now reduced to a "recreative" airfield due to political pressure of just a couple of people.
mainly active in w.e.

Grimbergen EBGB
did the buildings in different collor (Type 29)

An update for Nevada: replace the current outline with this.

Boulder City Municipal - KBVU

EDIT: (RadarBox knows it as what was presumably their old FAA code of 61B).

I did this because Google Earth has a new image of this airport, showing some differences and also because the RadarBox runways were very differently aligned from the previous outline. They still are, rather pointing the finger of blame at the RadarBox runways.

Note RadarBox has the runways, but doesn't know where KBVU is - it's south-east of KLAS.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base - KFFO

I've also done Wright Field (which used to be KDWF) which is the home of the National Museum of the USAF, and included with that is Hoffman Prairie Flying Field (in green, south of KFFO. As far as I know, no regular flying happens at either of these, but they are of some historical interest.

Florida again.

Spruce Creek is a gated community owith its own airport. Apparently over 400 aircraft are based there, and the 13 miles of taxiways are lined by houses with their own hangars, and Google Earth shows many planes parked on house lawns. A road system is interwoven with the taxiways so that houses have a road on one side and the taxiway on the other. The outline only shows the taxiways.

RadarBox doesn't know about it - it's due south of Daytona Beach Airport - KDAB

EDIT - RadarBox does know about it - I had "Hide small airports" turned on! - you can find it with the FAA code 7FL6

a update from me ; Liege-Bierset
former mixt military / civilyan airport, untill some months ago, home of the Belgian light aviation force ( now relocated to Beauvechain ), one of the most important cargo airfields in western Europe, so mostly night time traffic, but also some hollidaycharter traffic.
as the civylians are taking over the field, chanches are high that i'll have to "redo" the outlines in one year ore so from now ( already now, the reality is not conform to what Google Earth show us ; rwy extension construction is vissible, but not in the definitive form )

Three more Florida GA airports:

Two more Florida ones:

Fantasy of Flight Museum - FA08 - Kermit Weeks' airfield and museum with grass runways and adjacent lakes wher the Sun 'n Fun Splash-in is to be held soon, so I've done them as well. Change Colour Type 25 to an appropriate colour for a lake! The official title of the airfield is apparently "World's Greatest Aircraft Museum". I think the Smithsonian might take a view on that. I'd still love to visit, though, if only to see the Sunderland again.

St. Petersburg-Clearwater International - KPIE - closest airport to the site of world's first ever commercial passenger airline service, an Allegiant Airlines hub, GA centre, the largest and busiest U.S. Coast Guard Air Station in the USA, an Army Blackhawk base... the list goes on and on (according to Wikipedia, anyway).

Three more Americans:

Craig Municipal - KCRG (Florida) RadarBox knows where it is, but hasn't got the runways.

Flagler County - KXFL (Florida) - the airport includes a water runway - shown on RadarBox - on the neighbouring lake and I've done its outline too - as with Fantasy of Flight, set colour 25 to a lake-ish colour.

Seligman - P23 (Arizona) - a little airport at the home of Route 66.

Three more around Phoenix, Arizona:

Phoenix Deer Valley - KDVT - the busiest GA airport in the USA, the 14th busiest airport in the USA, and the 22nd busiest airport in the world - around 1000 aircraft based there - all according to Wikipedia.

Scottsdale - KSDL - one of the busiest single-runway airports in the USA

Glendale Municipal - KGEU

The skies must be REALLY busy round there.

Just seen a Skymark flight making an approach to RJAH Hyakuri, an interesting Japanese Mil airfield with a small civil ramp.  Which according to the airport website Skymark started serving to four destinations from 31 Jan.  In the google image 21L/3R is undergoing works but the current Jeppersen chart gives that it is now back in service as a full runway.

Rod,

Thanks for that. It has always been showing on the RB but without the runway. Just haven't got round to asking you for the update up until now.

There are always Casas of all types there and Spanish C130's as well as visitors from other countries and what is even more convenient there is a restaurant/bar located at the end of the runway where the traffic flies directly overhead at only a couple of hundred feet up. Perfect location on a summer's day parked up in the car park.

For no particular reason, here are two little Florida Everglades airports:

Marco Island - KMKY
Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport - KTNT - interesting as when construction started, in 1968, it was planned as the biggest airport in the world, with 6 runways, named the Everglades Jetport. When the environmental damage that it would wreak had been appreciated, the idea was abandoned, and the airport is only used for training these days.

Hi,
I've just moved to Perth, WA from not too far away from Manchester UK (EGCC).
Just my luck that the only major Aussie airport that doesn't have a hi-def outline is that of Perth (YPPH)!! As i'm less than 2 miles from the threshold of runway 21.
Anyone know where I can find one? Have tried SBS, but no joy there!

sorry darkskies74, just tried to make a outline for Perth, but the outline maker just wont let me do it ; after a couple of clicks, the map dissapears completely to the left side of the screen, when i click "delete last point" the map reapears, just to slide away as soon as i try to make another point.
don't think it has to do with my system, as when i make just some random points on other parts of the world, all goes normal.

Three for the Toronto area:

Toronto Downsview - CYZD
Toronto City Billy Bishop - CYTZ plus an outline of the islands around it
Toronto Buttonville Municipal - CYKZ

There's another fairly busy GA airport in the area - Brampton CNC3, but it's really too fiddly for me to do it justice. Perhaps Vonsmalhausen fancies another challenge!

Here is the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst with two main airbase-type elements:

McGuire AFB - KWRI
Lakehurst Naval Air Engineering Station - KNEL

Lakehurst was the airship base where the Hindenburg crashed (I've marked the memorial), and is now the home of "Aircraft Platform Interface" research and testing which I think means carrier take-offs and landings, possibly including rough-field operations. I think the fan arrangement bit is for sled-testing.

Hi Yellowshreck - no!

Those are available, along with lots of other UK outlines, and some others, from the SBS Resources website here: http://sbs-resources.com/downloads/index.html

They are high-resolution, and much better than mine - I haven't got the patience!

Do the full download and install the software, but don't run the resulting program - just navigate to the folder it installs (Files/Airfields) and copy the outlines you want to the RadarBox/Outlines folder. You have to copy the individual files (usually three for each airport), not the folders, as RadarBox won't read outlines in sub-folders.

Well done Mark

Now all you have to do is to download this ;-)

Time for a new zip of all the outlines in this thread since the last one which was in reply #162 on the 2nd April.

NOTE that I have upgraded most of my outlines in this zip to include main runway markings, so it's worth downloading the zip even if you have been downloading individual outlines.

As ever, I've put the zip of ALL outlines additional to those released with the software on my downloads page here: http://rodb.gofreeserve.com/RadarBox/Downloads.htm so new users should download that.

and yet another Paris region field ; Coulommiers LFPK
former military field used pre WW2 by the French, during WW2 by the Germans and later the Americans.
after the war it got out of use, at some time there where plans to make it the second Paris airport, but with Orly returning to civil status, these plans where dropped.
later it was fitted to become a NATO reserve field and now it is used for GA
did not included the clearly out of use NATO planeshelters/parkings and part of the original rwy who is in a big state of decay.
on Google there are still lots of bom craters vissible and most of the taxiways are in a poor state and out of use, the ones used nowadays are new parts of tarmac over the old infrastructure

Time for yet another zip.

This contains all the outlines in this thread since the last one which was in reply #218 on the 11th May.

As ever, I've put the zip of ALL outlines additional to those released with the software on my downloads page here: http://rodb.gofreeserve.com/RadarBox/Downloads.htm so new users should download that.

And two redone South Korean outlines.

I was watching on the network KAL's shiny new A380 at Seoul Gimpo - RKSS, presumably doing training exercises, and we were getting ground returns from there and from Incheon - RKSI. I'd been waiting to redo Incheon until the new third runway appeared on GE, and noticed that it is now there, so I've done them both.

Hi all,
Hopefully you're all getting more returns from the YPPH area!
Maybe a tad intermittent for the short term as I've a poor internet connection for now and a wife who thinks I should be enjoying life down under with her and the kids instead of looking at my RBox! Women eh!!!!! ;o)

Cheers Rod! Sinking a cold one whilst deciding where is the best place for reception as sadly at the mo I'm only able to use the supplied indoor aerial (Currently renting a property and the owner wont let me put up my outdoor equipment).
Granted, my returns aren't exactly prime time viewing, but makes a change, lol! Would PC21s etc plot their position? as they are military aircraft? Happy to be corrected :o)
Title: Re: Outlines
Post by: RodBearden on June 09, 2011, 03:06:06 PM
The good news is that many PC21s are fitted with full ADS-B, and that includes the Sinagapore AF ones at Pearce. Our other RadarBox user{s?) around Perth pick them up occasionally, which is how I know - I've often seen 6 or 7 at a time buzzing around Pearce and Gingin on the network.

Have a tinnie for me!

I've done an outline for Luanda airport, but I haven't got anything else.

Don't forget you can download the NASA satellite images for anywhere on Earth - that's working again now.

From radarbox?

It's that I have a friend who is there as you can see on my page (www.aerotower.x10hosting.com) and liked to have more detail to learn about where the planes are relatively to a point on the ground.

Aerotower

Are you saying that you don't know about NASA satellite images in RadarBox?

If that's true, try it! http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=1294.msg9667#msg9667

It works in any recent RadarBox version, whether or not you've got a network subscription.

Enjoy!

Title: Re: Outlines
Post by: RodBearden on July 12, 2011, 09:29:17 PM
People do seem to forget/ignore this option. There's a keyboard shoutcut, Ctrl-d, that allows you to downoad the images while you're in full screen map view, so you can get larger images.

For clarity, I use a different set of map colours when I'm viewing the satellite images.

Title: Re: Outlines

No Rod, I knew this functionality. Never used it extensively just because whenever you change the resolution of the image is blurred radarbox.

Title: Re: Outlines

Aerotower - my only suggestion is that you read the posts from Allocator and Tarbat later in that thread, and perhaps have a go at replacing the NASA images with images from a map website. You will still get the pixellation problem when you zoom, in, though.

Good luck with that ;-)

Any ideas? May just be best to delete the outline file, had similar probs with Copenhagen Kastrup.

Thanks,

Phil

just open the outline file of the airfield that is alfabet wise the first ; you have to ad a missing line with " -1 ", without the brackets, at the end of the file.
that will solve the problem ;-)
Title: Re: Outlines
Post by: vonsmalhausen on August 22, 2011, 08:11:14 AM
maybe simpler i post the corrected files ;-)
these ARE NOT MY FILES, i just added the missing "-1"
credits to the owner of these files, Paul Brown.
i think it was the AFP file that had to be corrected, but i'm not shure anymore of it, so i just send the 3 files that make the outline for Adelaide.
there is another one ( or even more ) that needs this adjustment, but can't remember wich one.
if you find it on the map, feel free to let me know, i'll post the corrected one.

Thanks vonsmalhausen.  I of course don't expect any ADSB tracks to be seen on the Lake Elmo runways, but your effort gives me the pinpoint on the map of my position when I am sat next to the runway.  This will assist me when trying also to discern the location of the 'Over the Top' airliners in relation to me.

Here's a provisional outline of Al Maktoum International - OMDW, otherwise known as  "Jebel Ali International Airport," "Jebel Ali Airport City" and "Dubai World Central International Airport".

It opened in June 2010, but the Google Earth image is from October 2009, so there's lot's of stuff, including markings, missing.

RadarBox doesn't know about it - go to OMDB and head southwest.

I'll update it when a new image arrives.

Hi Rod,

You know,  I looked today at the landing ANA's second Dreamliner in Tokyo Нaneda, I recognized that she lands on the water :) . Actually they built a new (fourth) runway.  Any chance to update Haneda outline?

Thanks for pointing that out, Nick. The Google Earth image is old and shows an early stage of the construction. We have access to the high-res outlines available elsewhere, so I hope that will get updated eventually.

In the meantime, I've done a pretty crude addon outline based on the GE image plus guesswork. You may notice that there appears to be no way of aircraft getting to the new runway from the terminal area - obviously a design fault ;-)

Perhaps it's better than nothing.

Nevada: Reno Stead Airport, home of the annual races - KRTS, but known to RadarBox as 4SD.

As an optional extra, I've done the racing pylons in a separate file. If you zoom in close enough (full screen mode allows you to zoom in much closer) you'll see that they are colour-coded for the different class courses. There's a map of the courses here: http://www.airrace.org/at_the_races/course.php (http://www.airrace.org/at_the_races/course.php)

EDIT - if anyone's interested, I've attached the Google Earth KMZ file that I created to help with the pylons.

All we need now is ADS-B-equipped racers!

back in bussines :-)
after my last work on outlines and logo's, i created a terrible backlog on my pictures i had to classify from my spottingtrips, so i had to do something about that first.
weather being terrible over here, i had a look on the network at some sunnier places, and could follow a Alitalia A321 down to 5200ft at Catania-Fontanarossa on Sicily ( right now, a Meridiana A319 is on aproach )
so i made a update for that outline, including what seems to be a military helicopter base

Time for a zip of all the outlines posted here since the last zip which was on the 7th December in reply #488.

I appear to have hit a filesize limit on my Gofreeserve free account, too. The zip of all our outlines is now over 4Mb, and I can't get it to load, so at the moment, newcomers will need to download the current All Outlines zip from my downloads page here http://rodb.gofreeserve.com/RadarBox/Downloads.htm , and also download the zip in this post, plus any future zips in this thread until I can get that sorted.

EDIT - I've now solved the filesize problem, so the zip on my downloads page is now up-to-date, and includes the outlines in the zip in this post.

Thanks to Rod and Vonsmalhausen for the outlines updates particularly the ones relating to Spanish airports which are very relevant to me. The news from here is that the new airport for the Murcia region at La Corvera is due to open in the spring. From then the existing airport at San Javier which currently is used by both civil and military flights will revert to a military airport only. Talks are currently underway with the likes of Ryanair, Easyjet, Air Berlin etc with regard to schedules from the start of the summer 2012 season.

Time for a zip of all the outlines posted here since the last zip which was on the 30th December in reply #526.

The All Outlines zip is, as ever, on my downloads page here http://rodb.gofreeserve.com/RadarBox/Downloads.htm (http://rodb.gofreeserve.com/RadarBox/Downloads.htm)  It includes all the outlines posted on the forum (latest versions of them anyway), and includes the outlines in the zip in this post.

A replacement for Pittsburgh International - KPIT - the US's fouth largest airport by area.

Feedback welcome.

I've done the ENGM replacement outline - can't see any of the threshold markings, but everything else is there as it was in 2003! As with KLAF, we get such good ground movements on the network that it's worth doing anyway.

I don't think much has changed as far as the layout goes. The RadarBox runways don't line up perfectly.

Two new outlines (thanks to ACW) and a replacement:

Vermilion Regional - KDNV (Indiana) AKA Vermilion County - some markings are missing as the runways are burned out in the GE image.

The replacement:

Bizarrely, the GE image in the outliner of the the east end of runway 8R/26L is older than the one in Google Earth, and doesn't show the new runway, so some markings are missing, and I had to "interpolate" the layout. Doesn't seem too bad, though.

after consulting Rod, he advised me to post the Vienna outline i was working on, it is my first full High-res outline, comparable to the ones on the SBS high-res outline source.
to give you an idee on how it looks like, i added a screenshot
these are the collorcodes i used, and will have to be put to the apropried collor in preferences/map collors

general airport outlines  = Type 2 ( Airport in the list )
RWY markings = Type 2 ( Airport )
TWR building = Type 26
stopbars and holdingpoints = Type 27
buildings = Type 29
Taxiway and Apron markings = Type 30

other Types i use in other outlines : Type 25 for water, and Type 28 for gras rwy/field

anyway, from now on, Rod aswell as myself, will keep differend sections in the outline appart, this way people like myself who prefere the rwy markings in Type 2 ( ore other sections ) instead of the Type 30 that Rod preferes, or visa versa if it is a outline produced by me, can easely alter these codes in the outline file to there own convieniance.
next who will get a High-res treatment is Zurich, but don't expect it to soon, as this is a verry time consuming thing :-)
further i plan to make some "upgrade packs" who could be eighther copy/pasted in to the existing file, ore just copied like is in to the outline folder ( as this is verry time consuming, almost all of them will be for international airfields with rather good ground returns, unless somebody has a request for a particular field )

An English airfield:

RadarBox doesn't know about it - it's due south of Church Fenton - EGXG

There's what appears to be a private house separated by a gate from the airfield, which has its own hangar. The latest GE image shows a chopper and a light plane in the back garden. Anyone know more about it? It's an unusual sight in Europe - more what you expect of US airparks.

I already had an outline for this from another source, with a filename beginning AFP. If you've downloaded them, you will need ro delete that file to avoid a double image.

EDIT - forgot the runway centrelines (again) - now added.

Hi Ian

I'll happily do a more detailed update for LERI, but as RadarBox doesn't have the runway, we can't do the extended centrelines.

The GE image is from 2004 - do you know if the CASA 352 (Ju-52) is still there?

Title: Re: Outlines

Rod,

Not necessary for you to do a more detailed update as this is mainly used by various transport aircraft who rarely seem to transmit ADSB. I have the airfield pinpointed from the last time you did it but just wondered about the absence of the extended runway centrelines.

As to the whether the CASA 352 is still there, I can't help you on that one. Finding a decent spotting position is difficult. There is one in the road at the end of the runway where a pub/restaurant car park is conveniently located. Good for arrivals/departures flying a few hundred feet overhead but poor for seeing what might be located elsewhere. Do you know whereabouts it might be on the field and I will try to locate if it is still there next time I visit and I am in need of some sustenance !

Ian

Edit : Just received your download for Alcantarilla. We crossed over our replies. Thanks.
Title: Re: Outlines
Post by: RodBearden on February 27, 2012, 04:48:00 PM
Too late!

You'll see the CASA in the outline - there are quite a few photos of it in Google Earth, but it doesn't look as if it's going to be visible from any nearby streets.

It's the RadarBox software that provides the extended centrelines - it's very difficult to do them in the outliner. The best we can do is the actual centreline :-(

I'll get onto them, ACW, but the GE image of Baghdad is very old - 2005 - I imagine a lot has changed there since then.

Another zip.

The last zip was in post #637 on the 24th February, and this zip contains all the outlines posted since then.

The All Outlines zip is on my downloads page here http://rodb.gofreeserve.com/RadarBox/Downloads.htm (http://rodb.gofreeserve.com/RadarBox/Downloads.htm)  It has all the latest versions of the outlines posted on the forum and includes the outlines in the zip in this post.

A surprise outline. The Google censorship has been removed from Morón Air Base in Spain (LEMO), and a nice high-res image has replaced it, so here's a standard outline of it, replacing the horribly crude outline that we had already.

My pleasure, Ian :-)

Here's a replacement for another airport where we've been getting ground returns recently:

Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi - VTBS

RadarBox doesn't know the code, but it does have the runway centrelines - go to VTBD and head southeast. It's a very watery outline.

Another one that's been on my list for a long time has now been revealed in Google Earth:

Spaceport America, New Mexico. Wikipedia has its ICAO code as K90NM, which doesn't fit the normal format. RadarBox doesn't know about it - go to Truth or Consequences (KTCS) and head southeast.

EDIT - after ACW's later post, I've changed the filename code to 90NM

This is an unlicenced field at this time therefore it is solely officially allocated the FAA Local Identifier (LID) 90NM, with NM representing the State Name.

Whoever entered it onto Wiki thought that ICAO simply took these FAA LID designations and added a K at the front, once the airfield becomes licenced.  This of course as we know is not the case. WIki should currently show
IATA: -
ICAO: -
FAA LID: 90NM

Therefore this one only had the FAA LID of 90NM as its sole identifier at the moment and it has no four letter ICAO desig.

By special request, a new Ukrainian - we're getting returns from around there these days:

Melitopol Air Base - UKDM

RadarBox doesn't know about it - head due south from UKDE. It's a huge base, and, in the old GE image, it's packed with Il-76s. Very strangely for such a big transport aircraft base, I can't find a single hangar!

I've also done a replacement for another Norwegian airport:

Rod

It is south of the main barracks complex down a road across the scrubland in a seperate compound.  It has a short helicopter runway and taxiways.  If on google maps/GE you search for ' Holsworthy (Military) Airport' it should take you right to it.

If not try these coords:  -33.99527,150.953307
