Title: 787 Test flight tracking
Post by: Seneca Driver on June 03, 2010, 12:46:03 AM
In spite of the announcement that Goodrich in Seattle is using RB for 787 test flight tracking, I don't think that they are sharing their RB tracking on the network.  I am also located in the Seattle area less than 20 miles from both Paine Field in Everett (where the 787 is built) and Boeing Field (where much of the test flying originates from).  Not trying to brag but I'm pleased that my RB is on the network 24/7 with Seattle area traffic including all local 787 test flights that are transmitting ADS-B.  I use a DPD vertical for receiving ADS-B for which I can track flights out to about 125 miles - not bad with so many mountains in the area - as well as another DPD antenna for listening to ATC comms in greater Seattle.
