Title: Version 1.4 Update
Post by: AirNav Development on February 17, 2008, 05:22:10 AM
Just a quick update on V1.4 developments: during this week we have been working on V1.4.  The application is now totally threaded and more robust. We still have some minor problems to correct but everything is in the right path for the release.

The reason for so much time in having improvements done is that we need at least 24 hours (usually 48) to test the system in busy ATC Traffic conditions. This is the only way we can test it in a reliable way.

Hope we have more news soon and we will always keep you informed.

Will ver 1.4 write ALL contacts to the sql database even if there is no tie up via the GAS link and then later will the populate function be able to populate those unknown entries as and when the information is available ?
Thanks

Will v1.4 be more user friendley to the computer and use less of the prosessor as at the moment i am running at average 100% CPU of the prosessor when radar box is running.I am using a sempron 3200 32 bit prossesor.

Yes this is what we are hoping for. Rememeber though just like many powerfull applications (games etc..) you may need to turn a few settings down to reach your optiminal level.

With new features being added we are always up against it in terms of keeping it running on a older compuer.
