Title: 787 Over Southern Califonia
Post by: mighty3507 on March 20, 2010, 03:40:35 AM
I could not believe my eyes when I saw N787EX show up on my map today. I did a little checking and found this item http://787flighttest.com/787-begins-flight-test-outside-of-washington/ The mountains that surround the L.A. basin are between Victorville and my location. So, I only see things out there if they are above approx. 10,000 ft. They must have started some higher altitude tests.  I missed it when it left KVCV and headed out to the Pacific. I did manage to catch it when it was on its way back.

I have attached a series of images I managed to take.  N787EX was approx 12nm NE of my location at 12,000ft headed NE when the pictures were taken. The skies are very hazy this time of year. So, the images are not the best.

Hopefully, I will get some more opportunities to see it before it completes its Victorville testing.
