Hi Steve,

Yes of course it will work for you. We have quite a few customers in Ireland, if you check our screenshots forum you see a few examples.

I am sure some of our Irish customers can give you further details on there setup and what they are seeing as well.

Plenty of activity in your area.  Here's a screenshot of current activity centred on your location.

Just remember that ModeS signals are line-of-sight, so to get best results you'll want to get the antenna as high as possible, and with as clear a view of the sky as possible.

Any aircraft with an "*" is coming from the Airnav network, not my antenna.

No.  Better to use a standalone scanner for that.

What are your nearest airport(s)?  I guess:

Londonderry Eglington - approach=123.625 tower=134.15
Donegal - tower/approach=129.8 ATIS=129.925

Maybe others in NI can suggest suitable frequencies.

If you want to know the real coverage (1090 MHz is line of sight) then go to

http://www.heywhatsthat.com/main-0904.html

put in your home location etc and the elevation polar diagrams for exactly where you are can be ascertained.
