Title: Alert Notification Box - size adjustment?
Post by: Tramline on January 19, 2010, 05:15:17 PM
Hello,

I've just dowloaded V3.13 which appears to be working well (my thanks to 'dca' for his help) but I've had to change a few settings but the Alert Notification Box does seem bigger than before??  Can the Alert Notification Box be reduced or customised in size please?  And if so how?

Thanks

Hi Tramline

I hadn't noticed it being any different - and I'm afraid there's no way of changing it at all.

O.K Thanks Rod.  Does seem bigger on my V3.13

My alert notification box IS different to V2.01 in that the Mode S code is in brackets after the registration i.e alongside it, rather than under it?

Yes - you're right - I meant the size and function!

I do wish there was a button on it to take us straight to the plane in the grid and on the map. Maybe in the next version...

Yes I was referring to the ability of reducing the size of the notification box.

I'd also like the option as you describe to take you straight to the map where the alert aircraft is flying!

Intelligent use of the Fleet Watch function does just this.  Double clicking on an aircraft in Fleet Watch takes you to that aircraft.  I use wildcards in the FW setup to track all the BAW B744/777 and all the A380's.

True - but this evening I had an alert for squawk 7700, and it's a bit of a pain trying to find that!

I either use the QuickFilters is such a case, or just sort by SSR code and quickly scroll up/down - OK, so not ideal, but functional :-)
