Title: Real Time Network
Post by: ianmalc on January 06, 2010, 09:35:25 PM
I am sure this has probably been answered before ,I would like to try
the live network for a month rather than the 5 minute delay.
I know i have to pay extra for it so is the upgrade available as a download.

It's just set on the AirNav servers as soon as you sign up - no download involved as long as you're already using version 3.13.

Hi Ian,

the first thing I did when my RadarBox arrived (apart from install the new 2010 software), was to upgrade to the Real Time Network.

Just do it, you wont regret it.    I cant imagine going back to the 5 minute delayed network !

I love listening to Live ATC  (eg. Dublin - EIDW), and watching/ listening to the live RadarBox flights coming in, with no delays.  Try here-   http://www.liveatc.net/topfeeds.php

Just one thing...
I paid for the upgrade with paypal the first time which didnt work (paypal problems), so cancelled that and used a credit card.  The transaction for the Live upgrde then went through instantly, and in action straight away... !

Enjoy...

I agree with Ian on the PayPal problem I had a similiar problem with another download prog. Suffice to say it seems PayPal is not working. In fact I was advised by AirNav to cancel the pending debit in my PayPal a/c and pay by debit card, which I did.

Hi everyone,

My location on the real-time network map showed for a couple of hours after up grading but has now completely vaniashed.

The machine running the Airnav package is on 24/7 with internet connection.

Could this be due to my ISP provided or a setting in Airnav preference screen.

Would appreciate your thoughts & comments.

Best Wishes

Paul

Don't worry about the network map at all. It uses your IP to work out your location or your preferences detail screen, it depends on google's look up service to which one it uses.
