Title: RadarBox V3.08 Ready for Testing
Post by: AirNav Development on November 03, 2009, 12:53:39 PM
Finally we got the green light from teh beta testers that reported problem with previous version and V3.08 is available. Please download it from the link below.

http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/anrb/beta/anrb.exe

And copy it to your RadarBox folder overwriting the existing exe.
All reported problems should be corrected now.
As soon as we get a green light from this board we will release it as a beta to the public.

Ahhhh... that's better!

Selected flights are staying selected, and the photos/data panel is in sync with the selected flights :-)

As long as nothing else has gone wonky, this looks like a good'un!

Hi Support,

I installed the V3.08 some hours ago succesfully.

The first thing I like to report to you:

the flight-id vs route-information "problem" looks not to besolved. (I do not know or you could or intended to solve this problem in this version.)

I see flights on  the screen (after a fresh restart as well) with route-information deviating what it following the route-database should be.

Hope I made my self clear.

Hi John,

Can you confirm this is aircraft look ups from flights which have landed and then changed flight id and its using the old flight id as the route?

Not what could be a mixed signal or database being out of the date.

Where are all the other beta testers? We need you now. :-)

Just downloaded and installed 3.08.  I'll let it run awhile and see how things go.  Looks very good so far.

Downloaded yesterday, as yet no issues for me.

We need you now. :-)

Is there a log somewhere that lists outstanding/fixed bugs?

My only outstanding issue (as reported) is ANRB will connect to ANAD only once. If it is ever disconnected it will never reconnect requiring a restart of ANRB

Downloaded yesterday, ran for several hours last night - not using the network, but seems good here, no issues for me.

Support,

Yes, that is the case I think but I will focus on that. When I am sure I will report to you back a.s.a.p.

Tks for all your reports. We will wait 24 hours and if nothing major found we will release as a beta to the public.

Rgd the ACARS interface connection problems: added to the list here - let's wait for more problems.

I am still having the same issue that I reported earlier.  I still do not get the aircraft history showing up unless the conditons listed below are met, however I am now getting the aircraft photo showing.  It may be unique to my setup.

I've noticed that when I receive a local contact it will appear on the MyFlights screen but it will not show a photo nor will it show aircraft history.  The only way for this information to populate on the MyFlight screen is if there is a another contact directly behind it that will sort of "bump" the current flight down the list  and then things get populated.  Keep in mind that I am in a very quiet area for local ADS-B or Mode-S contacts so very seldom am I tracking one or more at the same time.  Has anyone else noticed this.  I've been waiting for someone on the general forum to mention this but it has not appeared.  Any idea's or has this been identified already as a bug and on the list?

Paul - I have seen this once, very late at night when I only had one aircraft in the grid - very rare for me!

I haven't had those circumstances with 3.08 yet.

Airnav,

Downloaded yesterday and been running since. Network threw one wobbler where the same aircraft was shown multiple times after sorting by registration, see attached. It soon recovered after unticking network and trying again, been OK since

Tried to check all other ways and apart from the one glitch above seems to be OK for me here on my set up.

Paul/Rod, I've also seen the "single-aircraft" problem.  Reported to Airnav as follows:

TARBAT: When only a single aircraft in list, photo/details can be a random aircraft.

AIRNAV (AB): Please explain in detail and send examples (also point me to the forum topic reporting this.

TARBAT: When you only have ONE aircraft in the list, the aircraft details and photos aren't always the correct aircraft.  I'll try to re-produce and post a screenshot - just got to wait for quiet skies.

Unfortunately, my current circumstances mean all I can do is review logs at the end of the day.  Can others post a screen-shot - Andre needs specific examples.

I also reported some other "minor" problems, but I'm not at my Radarbox PC during the day to test these.  Hoopefully others can confirm that these are fixed in v3.08.  Sorry.

John, do you use hibernate or standby on your PC?  I've reported a similar problem:

MyLog start date/time anomalies when PC has been in hibernation.  In MyLog, you end up with several flights, all with an end date/time of today, but start date/times covering several different days in the past.

Might be a different problem, but could be related to your problem.

Here is an example...When I get a contact there is no Aircraft History showing.

But when I look in MyLog is see the history.

Now for the history to show up in MyFlights I will need another aircraft to be picked up which will then'bump' this one down the list and then the history will show.  In version 3.08 at least the picture is now showing so that is a step in the right direction.

Paul: on the MyFlights grid only previous entries of that aircraft in MyLog will be shown (the current entry will not be shown there). Regarding MyLog you need to refresh it if the window is already open.

If this is not what you are experiencing, pls explain in much more detail this problem.

Yes I understand about only the previous entries showing in the MyFlights grid.  It should show the last 8 entires though.  This contact was the 9th.

Here is another example.  I just picked up Air Canada C-FEKJ and the photo downloaded correctly but you can see the Aircraft History is showing the history of the flight that was picked up just before this one.  The aircraft who's history is showing was G-GSSA.  The reason his history is showing is because it was 'bumped' down the list by another flight I picked up at nearly the same time.

And when I check MyLog for C-FEKJ you can see it does have history with 6 previous contacts.

Now I realize C-FEKJ's history should only show 5 in the MyFlights grid but it won't show anything unless I picked up another flight before this one timed out and then it would populate the history because it was 'bumped' down the list.

Paul, tks for reporting. I believe this is the same problem of synchronization between the map and grid. We have added it to the to-do list. If no more problems are reported we will release this exe to the public, as a beta, as it is now and wait for more complains/problem reports.

Let's wait for the general public opinion now.

Tks. We believe this version is now totally stable and we are just waiting for the Network problems to be corrected on our server so we can release it non-beta.
