Title: New RadarBox Help File (for V1.4)
Post by: AirNav Development on December 17, 2007, 11:58:52 AM
Hi all

Our team has just finished the development of a completely new RadarBox Manual.
It includes new screen shots, re-written sections and a much more detailed explanation of the system. It will be included with V1.4.

This manual is currently BETA so, if you are interested, you may download it from the link below:
http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/anrb/anrb.chm (http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/anrb/anrb.chm)

Waiting for your comments.

If you just see the left hand menu and nothing on the right hand side. Close it down and right click on the file, go to properties and click Unblock which should be near the bottom.

Then click ok and open the file again.

Hope that helps.

Version 1.4 looks very impressive.  The new SQL database will be a great improvement.  Unless I missed it I did not see an option for the user to add 'HEARD', 'SEEN', or 'COMMENT' in the MyLog database.  Will the new database distinguish a 'NEW' contact and show it as such?  If those options are not there then I must admit I will be disappointed.

hi,
i'm very impatient to have the 1.4 and a little worried, because if i observe
some good modifications with the SQL base , nothing about direct function button (F1,F2),
only the possibility to execute a program on alert mode (not the possibility
to make an automatic screen shot or to start recording ?), not level alert (combined
with range ?)

Nothing about new windows display on radar map, or direct function
for filters with a flight selected and the right button ...

But maybe that this version of help is not the last one ?

In this version of Help, Feature and New feature have same informations.

Soon Noël ....

As mentioned in previous posts regarding updates we try to include every suggestion. However as you may realise this is impossible as we receive many requests.

We have to identify which are:

1.) Popular requests
2.) Can be done in a timely manor
3.) Won't cause disruption to functionality already there
4.) Cost

If they all get ticks we get them added. Posts such as "I asked for this and its not there etc.." are not helpful. If a certain function you asked for is not included politely email us. It may we have left it out by mistake and we need a extra push :) or there could be a good reason as mentioned above such as taking too long to develop or not popular enough.

We are listening and since version 1 we have added over 30+ requests.

Hope that helps.

OK Boy ...

It is exactly the answer of team developers at my own company !!!!

Of course, it's not because F6GSG want a function that AirNav DO make it,
but i had hoped that some "suggestion" could be useful for all.

i don't think that change Function Key cost a lot and make a long job, but ok
perhaps no one want that function...

now, i only hope that functions in v1.3 who don't work are well in 1.4 (like trace or
one photo database).

in same time, it's not very easy to appreciate the 1.4 only with the helper.

Sorry to have disturbed you, and i hope that i have make the right choice
withe RB.
