Title: Busy for this time of night
Post by: Allocator on August 25, 2009, 10:16:27 PM
Is the recession over?  Is everybody taking to the sky again?  Fairly busy over the UK for this time of night :-)

Very busy today as well.  It's not often that I see over 50 aircraft in the list.

Glyn,

Glad to see you are getting something. Up here in Scotland it has been blue sky all day but all that has been flying overhead have been a few Icelandairs and 'dodo birds'. (As in dead as a dodo)

Ian

Edit:
I stand corrected. It is now 20.30 and dark outside but flying overhead and visible only because of its flashing lights is Easyjet G-EZKF heading south from Inverness. My last B737 belonging to Easyjet for me to get. I was beginning to despair as most of their 737's have now been sold on and I was beginning to think I had missed my chance. An excellent ending to what has been a pretty lousy day for sightings in spite of the clear blue skies.

Hi Ian,

Well when the software is running I always see something...sometimes a lot of something as I noticed I was just one aircraft short of 600 in MyFlights when this was taken around 6:00pm this evening;

I sometimes wonder if some of the software issues I am seeing is related to the amount of aircraft ANRB is tracking when compared to most of the other screenshots I see here?

I mean its 10:00pm at night here and I still see @ 300 aircraft in MyFlights.

My timeouts are set for 30s/60s so nothing should be hanging about in the list for too long after it has dropped off the radar.

Congratulations on catching that last EasyJet 737...

Kind regards,

Busy for this time of the morning :-)

Got the PCR1500 monitoring the RT chatter and the controller working between WAL and BCN is earning his pay today!
