Title: Problem with hardware/software ?
Post by: MIKE.UTD on August 19, 2009, 09:42:15 PM
Hi,
Had my AirNav for nearly 2 years now with no problems but a few strange things have started to happen.
When I switch the box on each day the map is full screen with no my interface/flight info showing.
The airport outlines sometimes come on but intermittent ?
This has never happend before.
Can someone remind me how to save my viewing options (default for my inetrface on left outlines on, no traillines etc, nothing in manual that I can see).
Anyone else had these problems ?
Thanks.
Mike.

Hi Mike - I sometimes have similar problems where RB seems to forget everything and has its own ideas as to how your screen should look.

I have never been able to save a map that doesn't need adjusting for trailines and outlines which I prefer switched off. ON seems to be default. Try saving map as radar version - unless you use that set-up - that seems to work.

Don't now if anyone has seen this before.

I have just had my RB running for about 3 hrs, when i looked at it, it said hardware not connected, strange I thought, had not problems before.  So I shut down the RB and restarted the software, still the same nothing on the the screen and saying hardware not connected. So I restarted my computer and now everyhting is working as it was.

Anyone got any ideas.

Andy

How many "problems" get resolved by re-booting PCs?

Sometimes it's just the way things are!

Windows auto update is best left switched off.

try leaving rb on the screen and disconnect the usb from the back of rb it seems to shock the rb back into life like a freeveiw box best of luck   jeff
