Title: Placing supplied antenna outside by a few feet!
Post by: SuffolkFlights on July 02, 2009, 01:31:37 AM
I put my supplied Airnav antenna outside my windowsill a few feet and had over a 100msgs per sec and nearly a 1000 airplanes logged locally in under 12 hours of testing. This was with Airnav v2.01 My average local flights was over 30 per/sec at most times, not all plotted of course due to not all ADSB.
I was getting less than 30 msgs/sec before.

Damn! I guess I'm saying I'm getting many more flights than I was before. On the upstairs windowsill (with double glazing) I was getting less that 23 msgs/sec and about 600 aircraft logged in 12 hours of use.
Putting the supplied antenna outside by a few feet my msgs per sec went up over 100 and I logged just below 1000 aircraft in 12 hours.

So my Airnav RadarBox is performing well for me. It's the bees knees!

Are you using v2.01 or are you now using v3.0 beta?
