Ok, I am guessing that as the sun rises/sets the map's texture changes.
It is getting near sun-set and the map is becoming "spotted".
I'm guessing this is simulating the sun-set. If it is, I really am disappointed. PC's these days can show "squillions" of colours. Why is it that the map is "dithered" (spotted) as it is to show dusk? It makes it more difficult to read with all the dots.
I've looked at every topic in the help file and I am missing the piece which says how to turn this off. (Does it exist?)
I'm really not happy posting all these questions as I look like a total idiot, but honestly I've never found a good help file in any windoze program.
Also, on colours, last time the flight which I am tracking was WHITE. Now it is PURPLE.
Does this mean each time I run the program it picks random colours for what is what?

On the menu, MAP - GENERAL SIGNS - DAY/NIGHT SHADOW
Then save the map. Also save your colours, in Preferences - Map Colors
It's worth "exploring" all the menu items and Preferences for other hidden gems.

I agree. I was sure I saw it somewhere.
As I missed it in the "map/general signs/day-night shadow" I went to the manual.
Honestly the manual leaves a lot to be desired.
Now good. :)
Many thanks.

As you say, most user manuals leave a lot to be desired. Just to confirm, you are running the 2009 version of RB, v2.0.

Oh I hate windoze.
I can't cut/paste from that window.
Software 2.01
firmware 2.03.01
2009
(I hope I haven't goofed while typing.)

Okay, looks like you're on the latest versions.
