I've looked at the topics and I can't see anything like this mentioned.
I've only run the program a few times, but most times when I run it the green rectangle saying:
Initialization....
validating database.....
(etc)
Stays on the screen and in the middle of the screen.
Kind of makes it difficult to see what is happening under it.
What's "wrong" with what is going on?
-
I'd try uninstalling and then reinstalling the software - but after the uninstall and before the reinstall run a good cleanup prog such as Advanced System Care...or cleanup manually(remove orphaned registry entries, leftover files/folders in C/Program Files).

What messages are being displayed in the green box. Have you setup virus scan exceptions for the Radarbox folder(s)?
-
I quoted some of the text.
It seems to be the box which is displayed as the program starts. Just sometimes it is not "refreshed" or removed from the screen.
I have since restarted the program and it has gone. But I did notice I can cut/paste the text. If it happens again, I shall do that and paste here.

Okay. RB can take a long time to startup if you haven't setup virus scanning exceptions for the Radarbox folders. Hopefully the problem won't happen again.
BTW, welcome to the forum!

Tarbat,
Thanks for all the quick replies.
I hope I am not as stupid as I may seem. It is a GREAT thing and I am going to put it on my lappy so when I go somewhere I can watch the local traffic.
I just hope I become proficient at using the program.
WRT virus scaning: My machine has been fully scanned for viriu/malware and all is clean.
I use AVIRA and MBAM. I got a warning when I first ran the program about the port which I allowed. But other than that all was ok.
The green box stayed there for a LONG time and I was tracking aircraft and all was working but the box remained.

Okay, I don't know anything about AVIRA and MBAM, but if they scan picture files or database files, you really need to setup an exception to get better performance. That may explain the slow startup.
