Title: GDBCJ Wrong photo
Post by: EGNXR on March 22, 2009, 08:01:54 PM
Hi all,

I have a wrong picture of G-DBCJ if you click on the photo it can not be found on Airliners.net.

1. I have deleted the photo from Photos still comes back
2. Removed photo links in Navdata and deleted photo still comes back.
3. Deleted G-DBCJ from Navdata completly and deleted photo shut down RB and restarted and it. It then re-populated with the same photo.

Any ideas as how I can get rid of this

Cheers John

Most strange, as the correct photo appears on airliners.net

Easy fix for this.

1. go to airliners.net and do a search for G-DBCJ

2. the British Midland A319-131 shows - there are loads of pictures.

3. right click on one of the thumbnails and select "Save as"

4 save the picture to you /Photo directory as:

G-DBCJ.jpg

you can see the directory structure at

http://radarbox.gofreeserve.com/html/downloads.html

5. if you want a second picture, right click on another thumbnail and save this as

G-DBCJ,2/jpg

6. Restart RB and all will be well.

Edit: I've just checked my /Photo directory and I have the correct pictures of G-DBCJ and I assume that they must have auto-populated?

Your picture is of N7159N, Mode S Hex code A99240

Your query for aircraft registration N7159N.

Registration Manuf. Model Type   c/n   i/t Selcal ICAO24 Reg / Opr
N7159N   BEECH    V35A   BE35   D-8814   L1P      A99240   R2 AVIATION L L C

Thank you Allocator all done

I'll see what happens next time he pops up. That photo downloaded a while back and if you clicked on it it came up on airliners with the correct details for the Airbus but the Beech photo. If you did a search of G-DBCJ it appeared with all the correct pictures. Airliners have corrected there end because it now takes to to an error page. So I don't quite know why it repopulated after I'd deleted it, most strange.

Thanks again Cheers John
