Title: Time outs for Aircraft
Post by: kdt1 on March 20, 2009, 02:07:33 PM
Time outs for Aircraft in my flights.

Support,

Why do I have aircraft that do not time out and stay in the detail
window until I restart a session?

My time out settings are 40/50.

Also columns will not stay sorted.

Thanks

Are you running RB 2009 v2.0?  Columns not staying sorted was fixed in v2.0.

Tarbat is right, timeouts should always disspear from the MyFlights list as well.

Make sure your using the latest version, I assume you bought recenetly in the US. If so some of the dealers there may have older versions of the software in the box.

Okay, you must have a later version then.  What does it say in HELP ABOUT - mine says ANRB20.

There is a version 2.01. Before somebody asks whats the difference, its just a difference in the install and its on the new CDs, so don't panic.

kdt1,

I have PMed you a email, if you could email that address with some pitcures of it happening, we can get a better idea of whats going on and ask for some debug files.

What’s a good screen capture program?

Thanks

It probably does but you don't know it. It saves the image to the clipboard, so go to 'Paint' click in the centre and press 'Ctrl' and 'V' keys to paste.

Here is a picture of the remaining Aircraft for this session.
They will not clear until I restart. Note Times and unchecked
Flight data.

Very strange, not only do they seem to be staying there but unticking the process hardware flights should clean all the aircraft in there straight away. Checking our support folder we haven't a case like this.

1.) First step is to reinstall RadarBox 2009, this is incase of any corruption in the software.
2.) Secondly are the aircraft which never get removed ADS-B aircraft, or are they always Mode-S aircraft? If so is it always Northwest?
3.) Do you have another machine where you can run RB on, this is so we can see whether its just related to a specfic setup or whether it can be replicated which will help us track down the issue.

Can I save my DB files, and if so which files do I need to save to keep the software happy?

2.) Secondly are the aircraft which never get removed ADS-B aircraft, or are they always Mode-S aircraft?

I think usually Mode-S, I will double check.

If so is it always Northwest?

No, I have seen Continental and Sun Country so far.

3.) Do you have another machine where you can run RB on, this is so we can see whether its just related to a specfic setup or whether it can be replicated which will help us track down the issue.

I can change quickly to a different System for testing.

This sounds vaguely similar to another problem, albeit on network flights - http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=1940

Might be worth checking CPU usage, and virus scanning exceptions.

MyLog and NavData are the db files you can save.

Try with another PC as well if you can.

Support,

I have reproduced the same type of behavior on the other system. It doesn’t seem to be happening as frequent though, but does appear as the screen shots reveal. Support would you like my first system configuration?

Ok, Please send an email to the email we passed you via PM. He will get back to you about debugging and hopefully we can find a resolution.
