Title: ANRB 2009 on 1024 x 768 laptop display
Post by: viking9 on January 17, 2009, 06:31:49 PM
I mainly use ANRB on a desktop PC but I frequently take it out in the field on a laptop. The laptop has a 15ΒΌ" 1024 x 768 display and I find it very frustrating that on that display the position of some of the tabs is different than on the PCs 22" display. This results in the 'Advanced' tab not being available. I believe that this could easily be fixed by moving tabs into unused space.

Could AirNav please have a look at this, I can't be the only one with this problem

I've attached a screenshot from the laptop below.

Hi Viking9,

Not sure how we can get round this, simply if you have less screen resolution and size things have to give way. Otherwise everything will have to be made very small.

If the options are not there as buttons they will still be there in the menus but we will write it down as a request.

Hi Support,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I can see lots of unused space at the top where tabs could be moved to without making any of them smaller. That space is available at 1024 x 768. An alternative would be to add more shortcut keys. Anything you can do would be very much appreciated.

I forgot to mention that I'm also giving demos of ADS-B using the laptop with a projector and it makes it very difficult to show all the features of ANRB. Last week I gave a talk to members of the local branch of the RBL, some of whom are ex-RAF air traffic controllers. They were very impressed, indeed astonished at the amount of information available. One young lady, who recently left the RAF, was particularly impressed with the METAR facility.
