Title: Radarbox 2009 Firmware Version

I purchased mine a month ago but the firmware version in Help/About shows 1.0.x.x

Is there a way to upgrade my firmware electronically via the USB connection or is there a more invasive procedure...tnx.

Also, the dealer I bought it from (withholding for now) listed in your Dealer section advertised it to be Radarbox 2009. But after purchase and install of software, it says "2007"!!!

I wonder who you purchased your RadarBox from - it certainly is an old one if it still has the V 1.0.x.x (do you mean x.x - you should have numbers here like V1.01.0 or V1.01.2)

It's so long since the firmware upgrade cam out, I can't even remember where it was - I think that it was posted here on the forum by AirNav.  The firmware upgrade is done via the USB connection, as far as I can remeber it was an exe file run in a DOS window.  Usual rules apply here, much like a motherboard BIOS update, don't interrupt the process otherwise you can end up with no firmware at all!

I have an RB S/N in the 103xx series, the firmware is v2.03.1 which Airnav state has some minor cleanups to do with the ft2dxx driver interface but is essentially the same as the 1.x versions. This has the 2009 sticker on the packaging.

Please contact us via personal message or via a support ticket. We would like to know which dealer this was.

Also don't worry about the firmware update, that Fenris has mentioned there is no difference between that an earlier 2.0xx versions to RB.

Hi wxwarn, my unit came from Maplins last November, 2009 version 2.01, Serial No. 10142, Firmware 02.03.1..
