Have you got yourself another Radarbox?

Using Fleetwatch and Alerts you may be able to eliminate a lot of the civils.

May be tough going though.

I use Fleet Watch on these registrations:
G-SAR* = Search and Rescue
G-CG* = Coast Guard
G-FR* = FR Aviation (military support)
G-SAS* = Scottish Air Ambulance
Z* = RAF (but also some others)

Or, you can sort the list by altitude, since most of these fly at low altitudes.  Or, filter on Lattitude = 0, since most of these are not ADS/B equipped.

Robbie, I aquired these registrations over several months by seeing which aircraft fly in my area.  Most apply across the UK (coastguard, SAR, etc.).  It's only the G-SAS* that is specific to my area.

I use the following hex code wildcards to alert for mil flights.  RAF/UK MIl  is 43*

000*
010*
154*
353*
380*
3B*
3F4*
3F7*
3F8*
3F9*
43*
44F*
480*
4A8*
4D03*
508*
710*
ADF*
AE*
C2A*
C2B*
E09*

Not exhaustive.

Is there a list of Mil only Hex codes so I could put together a better alert list?

Fleetwatch is under the SmartView tab.  Click on the Setup button, and add your registrations and/or Flight IDs.

See the video tutorials here - there are 2 that cover the Fleet Watch function:

Slightly off topic but does anybody have any lists of TAD's and the associated frequencies that they could email me in relation to UK military frequencies.

Dudley,

You can cut down your list further by using Mode S with wildcards.  For example, you can capture all those Brit Mil by using 43C*

Hi Allocator

I do not think 43C* works on setup.  It is looking for Reg of Flight No.  I tried adding 400* but the list did not increase.

Because at the moment i am getting network stuff from Australia etc etc.
Thanks

Dudley, you are quite right, the Mode S code won't work with Fleet Watch but the mil aircraft won't show on the map anyway.  One of the nicest things with Fleet Watch is that double clicking on the aircraft line will move the map to that aircraft - if it is giving the position.

I use 43C* in the Mode S section of Alerts just to give me a heads-up.  I sort by Mode S and this allows me to quickly find the aircraft in MyFlights - or I use the Quick Filter Mode S = 43C*

Set your filter to Mode S=43C*
