Title: AirNav

Before I go ahead and purchase AirNav, can anyone tell me if you can layer the Airways on the screen. Most of the pics appear just to be aircraft dotted all over the UK, but no airways marked. At least with SBS - 1 you can download the airways which makes it more realistic.

Yes, airways are included as standard in Radarbox.  See this post for an example - http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=1292.msg10774#msg10774

Simple answer: affirm. You can opt to show airways, VORs, NDBs, Airports and Fixes. All the world is included by default.

Roll on Christmas! Something wrong here I'm wishing my life away and looking forward to that red and white liveried flying object - what squawk code and A/C type shows up for Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen, several well known aircraft in there somewhere - what a sad ******* I'm growing into...........!

And, of course, if your AirNav Radarbox isn't up to tracking that, you can follow his progress on Norad Tracks Santa

Santa is getting ready for the busiest time of the year, and like all aviators he has to maintain currency and undergo a dual check to make sure that he's fully up to speed.

The CAA/FAA Examiner arrives at the North Pole and runs through the all the paperwork for Santa, the sleigh and the Reindeer and satisfied with this, they both walk out to the sleigh.  The Elfs have hitched up the Reindeer and the Examiner looks on attentively as Santa does the walkround.  All seems in order and with a nod of approval from the Examiner, they board the sleigh and strap in.  Santa checks his takeoff data, noting the V1 and V2 speeds for the lightweight loading.  No presents today, so the performance should be quite satisfying and Santa is looking forward to the flight.  The Examiner explains that it will be a standard IFR departure followed by a return to the hold for 2 holds prior to an IFR approach to the minima, for a go around and a practice weather diversion to the secondary strip to the south west.

As Santa is composing himself, warming up the Reindeer and going through the emergency drills in his mind, he notices the Examiner struggling with his rather large flight bag.  He looks over and is shocked to see the Examiner has a shotgun in the bag.  The Examiner realises that Santa has seen what he's doing.  He looks Santa in the eye and smiles and says "Look, I'm not really supposed to tell you this, but you're going to have an engine failure after takeoff.................."

Registration SA-NTA was spotted last Christmas on Planeplotter - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/planeplotter/message/4026

Last year the "group of eight" were tracking south at FL550.  On HFDL only, so won't appear in Radarbox.  Planeplotter only.
