I'm working down in London at the moment, and I'm about 5 miles north of Heathrow. The standard antenna is sitting on the 3rd floor window ledge - inside because it's raining! The window faces roughly west and I'm surrounded by other buildings. However, I'm still getting a good view of Heathrow. It's fairly busy for 9 o'clock in the evening!

The holds are busy too!

And the polar diagram isn't bad considering the location of the antenna.

Thanks Rod,
The FTP site is online at the moment too, but I'm just testing my mobile broadband, so it won't be on for too long.

Great shots, especially from an indoor antenna! Nice colors too - I can't imagine having so many aircraft to track and having holding patterns to watch. LAX is getting more and more though.
Have a great trip Allocator!

Not a trip unfortunately, but a 2 year change of work location! I suspect that I'm going to be putting a few more miles on the car, but the good news is that I've got a whole new audience for RadarBox - I've promised to take it into work to show the new team :-)
Back at home for the weekend so the RB FTP is showing my normal area now.

I wondered who was at heathrow, I have just posted nsome screen shots of the aitcraft on the ground, I should have checked out the screenshots section of the forum first, for some reason I posted in general aviation. Still it show why the RB is the best.

It's not me, as I can't quite see the aircraft on the ground - there must be somebody even closer :-)

Perhaps airnav have a new feature, a direct link with heathrow tower, I wonder who it is then, the mind boggles ;). Great results all the same.
