I just briefly checked my Network connection and it is down.  I have not been running a connection since the first day I received my box as I found Network contacts were getting into MyLog.  I won't be running it until a fix comes out to stop Network contacts from getting into my local logs.  Very frustrating at the moment.  Sorry but I keep a clean local log.

I lost the network around 14.30 UK local time.

Back from town now at 16.55 and it's up and running again.

If you get the message "'your account expired or you are not connected to the radar box network" then that means you connection to network might have failed, restart the application and it should try and connect again.

Here is a suggestion:

How about putting on the website or in these forums some where a link to check Network Server Status?  Would help in future....

Yes and add all the down times together at the end of the year and give us credit for against next years cost :-)

Just like you get from your ISP when the network or mail server goes down, or they "loose" your website - NOT.  Dream on!

AirNav Live Flight Tracker (one of our other applications) average downtime per year is of 5 hours (within the last 4 years).

AirNav RadarBox Network is based on the same architecture so the result will be the same. This means that per year we plan to have the network down for only a few hours (usually for system maintenance).

Is it just me then who can't access the network data at the moment?

That did the trick - network back online at 17:38 UTC - although only 178 aircraft which seems a bit low.  Maybe it will build up as it collects shared data.

Thanks AirNav.  There is bound to be the odd network outage every now and then.

Should be working now. These things unfortunately do happen.

If you notice an issue such as this please email support asp and we will investigate.

Thanks, Network confirmed back up.

My next question was going to be who to contact if there is an outage, but you've answered that.  I'll go direct to Support next time.  I tend to post to this forum to make sure that it is the newtwork and not just me with a problem.

okay restarting app done the trick, but why the need to restart?

It should keep retrying to connect, but after certain amount of retries it gives up (such as instance where you might disconnect from the net) to save resources.
