Title: Question Marks by aircraft
Post by: FunFly on August 25, 2023, 06:23:13 PM
Started about 3 weeks ago, I have question mark(s) "?" next to each aircraft that my station is picking up. Any idea what may have happened or what I need to do to correct? I emailed the support a few times with no response.

Station Up time: 100%

Normally the question mark signifies no heading information, whats your station ID

Yes, I see the same on my side...see the "?" marks on the map next to aircraft in your attached screenshot? I can't seem to get those to go away/clear up for about 3 -4 weeks now. I don't believe that is normal. For whatever reason they aren't clearing up and all aircraft on the map that I'm receiving from have them now.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your help.

I've got the same problem that started about the same time. I only see it on the page for *my*  feeder. When I look at the page for other feeders there are no question marks.

Hi Alan,,
Were you able to get any update/feedback from the developer?

Hi Alan,  I also reached out to RadarBox support and still nothing on my end as well. Not looking good for getting this fixed.

When I was a software engineer and someone wouldn't answer my emails, I'd walk down to his cube and ask him in person. That way he couldn't ignore me. :)

Hi Alan,

I've sent several emails over the past few months asking for any update and keep getting the response they will ask the dev...which of course they never reply back to me with an update. I'm now trying to call them at (813) 995-3211 but it just goes to a generic voicemail. Do you know if that is correct phone number or what phone number I can try?

Thats a phone service in the US, their main office is in Lisbon Portugal.  I have advised the CEO

Thanks Alan.

I just found this phone number that at least seems to be to the AirNav voicemail system 1-800-401-2474 (US). I will try it and see if I can get anywhere/reply with AirNav. Not looking good though.

It would be nice if AirNav would acknowledge and fix this issue some of us are having. I'm using one of their XRange2 boxes that I purchased. Not sure if they would be willing to replace the XRange2 if their software broke it. Otherwise I will just unplug it and move on to another site to feed.

I'll report back here for others if I have an update.

As stated I have forwarded it on to the CEO.  As far as I am aware you are the only person havin this issue of a qustion mark at every aircraft

Thank you Alan for doing that...much appreciated.

I believe a couple other forum members (Vantage and Turbo) mentioned on page 1 of this thread they were having same/similar issue as well...unless I misunderstood.

FunFly is correct: He is *NOT* the only one having this problem. As I documented in Reply #6 on: August 30, 2023, 04:35:25 PM in this thread I have had the same problem for months.

At the request of the CEO can you provide me with the email address you used to contact support with your queries.  Please PM me with your details.  He also asked for your receiver serial number but I note it is PGANRB501139 and have passed it on

Just noted your reply, thanks

Alan - happy to report it appears to be fixed as of this morning. No question marks by the aircraft. Looks like they may have made an update / bug fix. Hopefully others that reported the same problem are seeing their issues are fixed as well.

Please pass on the results if you can and a big thank you!

Vantage - agree...I may have spoken too soon (sorry about that). Appears it is getting better. I noticed about 2 out of 8 aircraft being tracked currently have the question mark like in your screenshot.
