I have a RadarBox installation on Raspberry Pi 4 where rbfeeder is the primary collecting data directly from the dump1090 and UAT 978 dongles.
I also feed AdsbExchange as a secondary network/tcp-beast protocol getting the data from the rbfeeder. I verified and the data and messages/sec logged by each feed are identical
On my RadarBox feed page I show about 18-20 planes while at the same time on Adsbexchange my stats show 65-70 planes. The numbers vary but the proportion is the same.
I understand that Adsbexchange is not filtering any flights but still, is it normal to see 3x less planes on RadarBox?

How many do you actually see on the map for each as opposed to the list. Do you see the same number on the maps
RB does not filter per-se as even where a flight is blocked on RB it should still show on the list although its details will not show as it will show as blocked and it will show the same on the map. I dont know where you are located, do you MLAT on both?

Yes, the difference is in number of planes shown on maps. Right now I count 20 on RadarBox vs 52 on Adsbexchange.
My RB feed is EXTRPI016367
My Adsbexchange feed is https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?feed=pqdQdZsV1LeB
Yes, MLAT enabled on both feeds
Thanks

I have no idea why the difference as RB is feeding Adsbexchange, Have you contacted support for advice?

At the risk of stating the obvious, the number of aircraft visible on the screen in any given app is partly a function of the timeouts. Maybe those differ between RB and ADSBexchange?

That was my thought, but only Airnav and Adsbexchange can provided details on their respective timeouts

Well, I "fixed" it...not
I switched to primary FlightAware feeds dump1090-fa + dump978-fa and have the other feeds read network (beast-tcp) from these
The stats speak for themselves. They are all pretty much inline except RadarBox is showing at best only about half of what all others report
Point in time snapshot:
FlightAware: Total Aircraft = 76 With Positions = 57
FlightRadar24: Aircraft Tracked: 90, Aircraft Uploaded = 68
Adsbexchange: Total Aircraft = 72, On Screen = 56
RadarBox: Flight List / Map Total = 28
So it seems to be a systemic problem with RB

What did support suggest?

I observed exactly the same thing.
Are there already solutions?
