Title: Hardware to Run UAT ADSB and Airband VHF
Post by: paulysa1969 on March 26, 2022, 02:37:03 AM
Hi there. I have ordered the AirNav RadarBox 1090MHz ADSB, 978MHz UAT and 108MHz to 137MHz SDR dongles with external antennae. My plan was to set up individual Raspberry Pi Zero 2W's to run each and power them each with a 3A power supply.
I cannot seem to get Raspberry Pi's but I have noticed some really cheap ChromeBooks for sometimes as cheap as $49 for a refurbished unit. Does anyone know if a ChromeBook will run the software for these dongles - I was going to try to run all 3 of the the dongles on one ChromeBook. Has anyone done this before? Is it perhaps better to find an old desktop tower and put Linux on it and use this?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks
Paul
