Title: Requirements to set-up a station
Post by: teo118 on January 29, 2020, 04:30:36 PM
Hi, i would like to apply my terrace to listen and scan for aircrafts on AirNav.
My house, is at the last floor in a high-part of Rome, one of the highest hills. I have a very nice visibility field, which allows me to see 1 airport (urbe) and have a clear view of Ciampino (7km).

Now, the wuestions are:

How this user is listening to audio from aircrafts near him? What do i need to do that?

I'm buying this antenna

And i already own this receiver

I want to connect the final rp sma to a switch. One pole will go to the airnav USB pen (  or to the airnav box ( and the other pole in my scanner. In this way i'll track airplanes (and helicopters) and also listen to the decided frequency, correct?

Also, what can i do with this box

That whit the pen drive i can't do? Why the price difference?

I want to start as soon as possible, also to obtain a business plan, i'm really enthusiast

The flightstick only allows you to see aircraft using ADSB, you cannot hear them using it

I would suggest that you contact [email protected] regarding listening to VHF
