Greetings,
I probably have exactly the same problem as many others out there. I nee to know the work around so i can get this flight stick radarbox up and working.
I have installed both software, the radarbox and the flight stick for nav air. running the program, on the welcome screen message I am not even able to click any of the blue links because nothing happens when i try to click them.
Next, I notice at the bottom Hardware: Disconnected, but it is connected.
I had a little look inside device manager, and its being called REALTEK 2832U as the usb device. The instructions for radarbox appear to be well out of date. Refering to unplug the usb cable..this isa dongle not a cable. I also have an sma antenna with a 3m lead with male head to screw into the dongle. so far I have tired to install other drivers and managed to make a mess of my os, so i had to do a windows 10 refresh, i have no wish to do that again, since I also run a dedicated professional weather station on the same box.
I would really appreciate any help anyone has to give me, I just want this hardware : disconnected to be fixed along with radarbox software, please help!

We have responded to your ticket as well. Can you please try those instructions first.
Please note usually the driver install will do everything for you and its plug and play but some systems do get into a mess with drivers etc.. The software if you ensure you install this outside your program files area and run with admin should work fine.

ok yes i have it installed in C:/Airnav

Just to update this, the user is now back and up running again :)

Hello,
same installation problems here as well :-/ I've tried installing in C: ...no joy, tried the zadig 2.4 option as suggested by support ...still nothing :-? Multiple install reinstall drivers and reboots...no go!
Any help appreciated.

Not telling us much there Nigel
What Windows version do you have, Presume you have installed the V6 software to c:Airnav or similar. Presume that you have installed the Flightstick drivers as well as the Zadig drivers

Hi,
Thanks for the reply and apologies it was a frustrated post!! Running Windows 10, v6 software is in C: flightstick drivers installed and all run as administrator. I have a micro radarbox that runs without any problems?
Really wanted the flightstick as an upgrade/extra box but no joy with it :-/

There should really be no problem in running it. Can you post a shot of the contents of your drivers folder
Compare it to a shot of mine which runs box and both sticks and we will take it from there
Alan

Thanks, here's the driver folder.
-
The ANRB drivers are for the original Radarbox
The micro radarbox drivers work the original stick
The Comstation drivers are not needed as you don't have a Comstation
Alan
The last 5 are the same as mine apart from the date, so there may be something in that, but will check them all out
What is the contents of the AMD folder, mines attached
-
Thanks Alan. AMD folder. Dates are the only thing different?

Nigel
When you install theFlightstick drivers it should bring up a cmd window
Top line should state Extracting driver files
Next line Success
3rd line Installing drivers with a flashing block on the 4th line, do you leave it to do its thing until the cmd window disappears?
Alan
-
Alan,
yes the cmd box displays all those messages. The only thing I cant see is the first box that appears behind the cmd box.
-
Have you tried inserting the stick in another USB port
Alan
-
When installing the Zadig drivers did you bring the stick into the window for its driver to install?
Alan
-
Yes, tried both before no change. Although I've just gone into devices and printers and the stick is identified as RTL2838UHIDIR and states there is a driver error. When you go into troubleshoot the stick is identified as Bulk-In Interface (Interface 0) COM 3 and has a driver problem. Trying to fix via the troubleshoot doesn't work. The zadig tool can only identify the stick as Bulk-In Interface.
-
In Zadig if I go into Options/List all devices i get the Stick RTL2828UHDIR, my webCAM, USB module etc in the drop down list
in Control Panel when you open up the stick what do you get in drivers, see mine attached Have you tried update Drivers in settings on the driver tab
Alan
-
Zadig never picks the stick up as RTL2828UHDIR. In device manager I have to show hidden devices to see the stick in USB devices. I've tried to update the drivers from drivers settings and which ever way I try it says the best drivers are installed. I'll try a support request one more time and then probably admit defeat. Thanks for all your help Alan.

Cant understand the issue Nigel but then again I am no techie and I think I have done all I can. Might even be a duff stick
Support should be able to advise, give them the link to this thread to enable them to see what we have tried

Quick update, after uninstalling everything and then carefully going through all the steps including the zadig driver install I managed to get the flightstick working!! No idea what was going on before?? Thanks Alan for all the tips and screenshots they really helped.
