Title: Installing a newly laptopwith windows 7
Post by: Albatros on March 10, 2012, 10:44:03 AM
Hello, my name is Paolo and I live in Milan in Italy. I purchased a laptop with windows 7 and I have a 2009 version of airnavradarbox and I never had problems with the old computer with windows vista. When I starts the program I'm getting the Hardware: not connected the message and a red light, or, I get a windows that tells me: "ARNB.exe has stopped working and program quits". I also download the latest drivers by support and tried to install them but it's the same.
I'm forced to download the 3D version?

Can you help me?
Thank you in advance

P.S.:
Sorry for my bad english

Paolo

Paolo,

Save your existing Mylog file.

Download and install  http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/anrb/403/ANRB403Setup.exe.  This is the latest version and works in 2D or 3D if you take up that option.  DO NOT INSTALL TO THE DEFAULT PROGRAM FILES LOCATION.  Install to somewhere like c:Airnav to avoid problems from the windows virtual store

Download and install the 64bit drivers from http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/drivers/ANRB64bitDrivers.zip

Replace the Mylog file with your previously saved version.  Install the latest Navdata update http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/anrb/dbupdater/ANRBDBUpdater20120127.exe

Once you have done this connect the USB cable and start up Radarabox and all should be well

Dont worry about your English, its better than my Italian

Alan

Thank you very much for your explanation, the version is now 4.03 but still does not work, the system keeps telling me that the hardware is disconnected.

Paolo,

Go to Start, Devices and Printers, Airnav Radarabox, Hardware, Properties, Driver,Properties, Change settings, Update Driver, Browse my computer for driver software and direct your computer to wherever you have unzipped the 64bit drivers too.

Hello Alan, do you remember me and this tread, unfortunately I got a virus on the computer and I had to reset the computer, now I have to reinstall RadarBox, I have to perform the same operations that you've given me? I have installed the new updater New Navdata.db3 - 20120701 instead of 20120127? thanks a lot Paul

Sorry Alan, remember to me, the folder Airnav must be placed in c: and not in Program Files or Program Files (64bit). It 's so?
 thank you very much

Yes Paolo, its better in C:\Airnav to avoid Windows Virtual Store problems.  Also remember the 64bit drivers http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/drivers/ANRB64bitDrivers.zip if you havent already done so.
