Hi All,
Today I returned from a 3-weeks hollyday. On the forum I see nothing about a new (Beta)version of RB. So I understand that version 3.01 Beta is still the most actual software version of RB. Or did I missed something....
-
Our closed beta testers have been working very hard lately and I hope (fingers crossed) it should be very soon that we release another beta to the public.
-
Airnav,
I am very happy with my ANRB and look forward to the next s/w release, but as a well-meant friendly piece of advice, I'd suggest that the use of indefinite terms such as "soon", "not long to go" etc., could tend to be a little bit frustrating to users eager for the next release.
As for me - I can wait. I think I have stated before, I'd prefer to wait until you are sure a new release is fault-free. In the meantime I can happily track flights anyway, so I don't have a big problem with the minor faults that do exist.
John
P.S. Release it now with faults - you're damned. Release it late - you're damned. No win eh ???
-
I agree with eggplant.
If a new bug is found tomorrow it will cause a delay and then folk will shout - "You promised it would be released soon!"
I am happy to wait for a new version that is stable and bug free.
:o)

Airnav - do you really mean that you are going to launch another Beta version or a complete tested version?
J.
-
Well at least they have stopped giving a day and a date now which was much, much worse and very frustrating...I think very soon should just about cover it. :-)
And it will be a Public Beta I believe as it can only be a complete tested version if we all get our hands on it! ;^)

hi all
please give airnav a chance, just think how long you will have to wait for the opposition update, they want you to buy a new one instead, no updates there.
i can wait for beta or new version.

Hi Support,
Thank you for your reaction! I am looking forward to it.

Hi guys, I for one who's really enjoying my Radarbox even with the odd quirky listing can honestly say it was the best £400 quid I've spent in a while. Any updates are fine by me and theres no rush as I'm happily logging on a daily basis.
Keeps me away from the housework too :) well sometimes :) :)
Cheers Dave

We have good news: it seems the latest exe is about to be approved by all our beta testers. We are now waiting to have the green light for release from which one of them - after that we will release it to the public.
-
I wait with bated breath...

AirNav Dev., any news about the driver signature issue with Vista being fixed yet.

AirNav Dev., any news about the driver signature issue with Vista being fixed yet.
That will depend on Microsoft providing the signed driver back to Airnav, if it's ready for the final 3.0x release it will be included, otherwise it will come later.
There are workarounds for this.

AirNav RadarBox 3.06 Beta will be released within 24 hours.
The drivers still depend on Microsoft, unfortunately.

This great news seems to have slipped through un-noticed.
Did you say the long-awaited public beta 3.06 released within err.... 18hours?
Can it be true????
-
Yup.
Possibly. ;^)

It's the "cheque in the post syndrome" that bugs me.
My old dad used to say "never make a promise or a threat you can't back up"
He was right.
Mind you, there's time enough yet - all is not lost.

Less than 24 hours, well that is a very specific time frame, they should have just said some time tomorrow, perhaps they use the same clocks as the British Railways, still I'm sure it will be ready for download by the time a get home this evening :)
-
Wouldn't bet on it Spaice.

We are still waiting for the approval of one user that reported a last minute problem. Everything else is ready.

I figured there must have been a last minute hitch as you were unusually confident of hitting your deadline. Maybe best to keep us in the dark then surprise us one fine day. :)
My 3 beta still freezes whenever I sort My Flights by "distance" so I'm greatly looking forward to 3.06.and hopefully an uninterrupted session.
-
You will be surprised not by the release of V3.06 but for the release we will make at the same time. Something for our users have been asking for years.

So are we looking at v3.06 beta to be released within hours, tomorrow, this week. ahhhhhhh, the anticipation it's doing me in.
-
Your attitudes undermine the hard work put in by Airnav and the beta testing team. It is so easy to criticise when all Airnav are trying to do is wait for the okay from all closed beta testers.
Give it a rest.
-
No one is undermining anybody here, a bit of fun maybe, but for those of you involved in the testing, you are in the privileged position of knowing what the delay is, for the rest of us when we get told that the release is less than 24 hours, well we get excited and then disappointed when the time comes and then goes, the forum would be dull if we did not pass on our opinions or have a little fun, so lighten up a little.
-
i think he ment it in fun i dont think there is any hardship ment and we all appreciate the outstanding work thet airnav and the beta testers do well, done all ,its exciting times for all
-
I am just passing on my opinion what is wrong with that?
-
rome wasnt built in a day and if u was to upgrade your computer everyone is expected to be charged for it these are free upgrades for everyones benefit FREE
-
i was joking. of course i appreciate everyone's hard work, just that i hoped to get the new beta today, no harm meant.

Oh come on. The banter today has been nothing but good humoured mixed in with a little leg pulling. In the meantime I have cut the grass, cooked dinner and washed up to earn some brownie points, anything to clear the decks for the release.
I am now off to the pub and will rush back after a pint in anticipation. Actually can somebody give me a ring?
J.

Well, while I understand what you're saying, leaving yourself a hostage to fortune is not the best course.
-
he could have invited us all to the pub for a pint hehe
