Is it possible to include Squawk codes in the "My Log" ?
...If so ...how please?
-
No, the codes are not displayed in MyLog. This would present a bit of a problem, as aircraft often change their squawk, so which one would you show?
-
OK - good point about the changes - would still be nice to perhaps have the option to include the code in use on initial contact. For military a/c that is often the only indication of routing/location etc.
-
How about first and last as per the positions from the ABS-B.
For Military that could indicate Direction N-S or S-N, or special area seen in!!!
-
jgrloit,
MyLog does already have this for the indvidual flights, Of course 99% of Military flights do not have ADS-B so we don't know there position.
-
I think that jgrloit means first and last squawk code rather than position.

I thought we were talking about squawks ?

Support you need a vacation.

Our mistake, we have no vacation where here 24/7 :)

Daveg4otu what is the link between squawk and routing with military aircraft?
-
Squawk code are allocated according to a "Plan" which is linked to routings/destinations/origins etc.
So ,as military aircraft routings/positions are not available via ModeS - butr squawks are.... the code may give some indication of the aircraft's probable route etc.EG: codes 4530-4542 are used for Aberporth.
-
So if squawks are allocated to a flight plan do they change during flight as suggested above?
