Hi All
This may seem a silly question to more experienced uses, So here goes:
When downloading just one picture you also receive a small panel of information to the right of it.
In that panel there is a line starting C/N followed by a number.
What does C/F and the number refer to?

It's the Construction Number as allocated during production by the manufacturer. There's normally just one number, but with Boeing you often get a second number, the Line Number. I can never remember what the difference is, though :-(

Hi Rod
Thanks a lot for the info.
Nothing worse than not understanding what you are looking at.

Here for recap
ref cn/fn
cn manufacturer construction number or serial number, ( at AIB e.g. MSN 033 )
fn manufacturer' fuselage linenumber,
Some Mfr use the cn in batches to classify production plant, acft type and such.
(Douglas had and Boeing uses numbers divided by a slash)
Their first number shows a totalling number of all orders,
the second part the fuselage-number of that aircraft type.
