John,
Was that live or Network traffic? Do you always use the heading line rather than a trailing line? I find the extending header line is confusing so tend to either always use the trailing line or nothing. Great shot though.

Thank you for your reaction!
This was live and also NOT network traffic. I am using the heading line until sofar I am using the Airnav RadarBox. I will try the trailing line now and will see how this look.

Th header lines tend to be strait ahead of the aircraft and turn when the aircraft turns but retaining the strait line. Trailing lines follow the route the aircraft has taken so can indicate a turn just made by the aircraft as in the attached shot from my location

OK. But how should I change my preference in this case?
I do not see any menu-option to change the heading line of the a/c.
May be we do not understand each other?

Sorry John,
The trailing line was an option in the beta file that was made available via this forum a few weeks ago. I have it loaded so take it for granted. If you loaded the beta file the option is on the File/Preferences/General tab. If not I understand the upgrade is on general release this week.

John,
You have to be using the Beta11 version of the RB software and the Firmware upgrade.
- File/Preferences/General
- Un-tick "Draw 5 minute Flight Path Vector"
Also in this menu is the choice to set the length (time) of the trail lines in seconds.
All the best

OK! Now I understand and all is clear to me now. I did not (and will not) load any BETA version of any new patch because I read about much problems about that until sofar in this forum.
I will wait for an "official" release for upgraded software from AirNav RadarBox and I will be patient waiting for that.
Hope you understand.

John,
Sorry my instructions were not that clear. You should be able to see the changes later this week so good luck with them when they are available.
