Title: Favourite v2.0 features
Post by: tarbat on August 20, 2008, 03:49:44 PM
So, what's everyones favourite new feature in v2.0?  I've got three:

1. The fact that I can now put my PC into standby, and when it comes back on ANRB carries on working.  No lockups.

2. The silhouettes.  Great for spotting rare and unusual aircraft.

3. Route lookup.  At last I can get routes displayed for some of the more unusual, non-ADS/B aircraft, and so work out roughly where the aircraft might be:

Congrats to Airnav for a great new version.

The route lookup is brilliant, we love watching the London Airspace and seeing all the ADS-B aircraft with routes.

Tarbat I have to agree with you on all three points!  My RadarBox has been running for over 24 hours and not a hic-up.  Smooth and sweet and that is with network flights on.  This is something I haven't been able to do since the release of the first version back in July of '07.  Great job AirNav.

I also love the fact that I can now log in local time and the satellite view is awesome!

Now for one quick plug for the next version...SEEN, HEARD, and NEW CONTACTS

RadarBox 2009 was worth the wait!

For the information of our users we had it working for 15 consecutive days very closed to London Heathrow (one of the busiest areas in the world) with a hi-gain antenna and average computer without a single problem...

Why 15 days? you may ask? Because after that we stopped the application...it did not crash or freeze! :-)

In serious words we have invested a lot in this version's stability. It will soon be used by major airlines on their operations rooms but that's another story. :-)
