Title: New filter 1090 airnav systems

Regards to all this is the new novelty of RB24 I got the 1090 filter


TESTS
 
1.
The first test install it with the radials and the reception levels were very low

2.

In this second test remove the radials from the antenna the reception improved 100%

RESULTS

*This filter only works for ADSB

* VHF does not work and much less GPS   ; (

The clue is in the name 1090Mhz is for ADS-B only therefore will filter out everything else outwith 1090Mhz such as interference provided by cell towers etc.  The main aim of the unit is to provide ADS-B coverage and filtering out interference will greatly improve coverage if there is such interference nearby which is quite often the case in urban areas..  The ATC requires to be set up by Airnav, if it is not set up you will not receive it.

What is the serial number of your unit as the new ones already have a filter included

Yes, did you get that filter with the unit and note that its use only assists with ADS-B
