Title: squawk numbers
Post by: EK01 on January 28, 2017, 11:30:55 AM
Hi guys,

Just notice that the aircraft on 'My Flights' are all showing unusual 5 digit squawk numbers instead of the normal 4 digit codes for example 21812/21346. Any one else have this and has there been a change of coding ?

Hi Ian

I don't know if it will help.  There is an update to V6 on the support page http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/ANRB60001Setup.exe

Alan,

Running it now. It appears to be fairly lengthy so will see what happens.

Alan,

Scrub that. Just noticed Ingo´s comments on the 'password not saved' thread. How do I get back to version 5 which appears to be bug free ?

Hi Ian,

Try to go back to V5.00.072 by downloading and installing http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/ANRBUpgradeto50072.exe

Or try to go back to V6.00.000 by d & I http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/ANRBUpgradeto600.exe

V6.01.000 to V6.00.000 is working. I don't no if downgrading to V5.00.072 is working either.

If not a full new install would be necessary.

As Alan said, V5 is only working with RB1 (classic hardware). For Comstation or SDR sticks V6.xx.xxx is required.

Cheers guys.

I'll just stick with version 6 for the moment which is giving the 5 digit squawk numbers except fro a Vueling flight which has the normal 4 digit code. Very strange.

Alan, time you were over here to fix this and get me off the dongle and back on to the box !

April 19th before I sail Ian, you are going to have to put up with the odd squawks for a while yet.  If its getting to you untick squawks in the columns list.

I have no idea why it should start that all of a sudden when nothing has changed with your set up.

Alan,

Now have some flights showing with a 3 digit squawk number. If I did untick squawks in the column list would I still be able to receive squawk alerts that I have set up ?

Alan,

I'll give it a go and see what happens.

It shouldn't have any effect on your alerts Ian.  All you are doing is stopping them showing in the column

Do you also have the problem of aircraft showing speeds of 0 knots ?

As far as I know everyone using V6.00.000 and V6.01.000 has the 0knots problem.
The problem only occurs if used with SDR stick. It isn't present if RB1 (Classic Box) or RB Comstation is used.

I note in V6 that the GS shows 0 but the IAS is detailed.  In V5 the GS shows but the IAS is blank

I'd like to define Alans statement more precisely:

V6.00.000 & V6.01.000:
While operating with SDR Stick (e.g. mirco RB):
IAS is detailed, GS shows a valid value for about 1 sec every few seceonds. In the time between 0kt is shown.

While operating with AN RB Comstation:
IAS is blanc, GS shows stable values.

While operating with RB1 (Classic Radarbox Hardware):
IAS is blanc, GS shows stable values.

V5.00.072:
IAS is blanc. GS shows stable values.

I should add that I was using a micro Radarbox stick using V6 comparing to a Radarbox on V5
