Title: Lots of East Mids (EGNX) holds tonight
Post by: Pinza on January 05, 2010, 08:35:23 PM
BOX110 and RYR7623 in the UPDUK/PIGOT hold for East Midlands tonight as I write - first time I've seen so many holds after a VELAG approach - fascinating to watch.
Attach a screenshot.

Edit 2051: BOX110 intends to divert to Manchester
Edit 2057: BOX110 now been holding for over 30 mins and believes MAN now shutting - getting interesting.
Edit 2108: BOX110 requesting EGNX approach due to fuel contraints... been a long hold!
Edit 2117: BOX110 appears to have clearance to EGNX at last - phew - I was getting stressed just watching! Believe I heard diversion to Belfast and Stansted being discussed as an option as well as above mentioned Manchester.

These guys - both pilots and ATC are true professionals!
